I was very happy with the Bednest and the rental scheme. The crib was perfect for me and my baby and I was sad when he outgrew it. Delivery and pick up went smooth and it was super easy and clear to me what to do.
I would do it again and recommend it to everybody!

We absolutely loved the bednest. I loved being close to my baby but could
never fully relax having her in bed with me. The bednest gave the best of
both worlds and she slept better than my two older children ever did in a
standard cot or Moses basket. She was in it until she was 8 months old and
had outgrown it. We were sad to move on to a standard cot. Highly

Bednest was brilliant for us - my son loved it, and it allowed us to have him by our bed, close to us but not co-sleeping. Its ease of folding and packing was also very useful as we were able to bring his normal sleeping place with us in the car while we went away for a few days over Christmas. The delivery and pickup were very perfect and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bednest to all new parents! Thank you!

Bednest worked brilliantly for us. My baby required frequent
feeds throughout the first few months and having him near was so much
easier. Co-sleeping doesn't work for me, but thanks to bednest he has his
own safe space to sleep while being within reach and sight all the time.
The rental scheme makes it easy and affordable and it's a great idea.

I loved the bed nest and so did my son.
I would definately recomend it, it is especially good for mothers who have had a c section and are breastfeeding.
Rental scheme was great and very hassle free with the delivery and return. Thanks again
Thank you so much for a frankly brilliant piece of kit. Our daughter slept beautifully in it and it was so simple for my wife to feed her.
Thank you from 2 very pleased parents.

We have v much valued the bed nest. Our daughter had life saving surgery at 3 months,so having her so close by reassured my v high anxieties. It was also having her so close originally that alerted me to her being so poorly.
I'd recommend to anyone, especially amidst all the negative press.
Many thanks, Joanna

I loved the idea of renting a Bednest, having the use of a crib for 7
months, without the hassle storing or trying to sell it afterwards. The free
delivery and return made it so easy too. I had great customer service when I
rescheduled my delivery after my hospital consultant warned me that my baby
would come early. (He arrived 2 weeks early on the day my Bednest was
originally scheduled to be delivered).
We weren't disappointed. The Bednest we received was in immaculate condition
and was easy to assemble. We took it on a few trips too as it was so easy to
fold and transport.
Our baby had silent reflux at 5 weeks and being able to tilt the Bednest was
a real, real plus - safer than propping one end of a cot up with books. It
helped our little one and saved our sanity.
I'd recommend Bednest to anyone.
Thanks and best wishes for letting me know it arrived safely.

Thank you soo much. It was one of the best thing I got for my son. He loved sleeping in it.
The best thing was the safety features. And not to mention the wonderful service i got from you guys. It was so quick to arrive and so easy and quick to send back as well.
I will be ordering it again for my second baby.
Thank you sooo much. You are wonderful and doing a wonderful job.

I've been really impressed with the Bednest - both the crib itself and the service. When I first started looking for a 'next to me' crib I thought I was going to have to spend £150 or more, so I was very pleased when I found I could rent a Bednest for half of that cost and not have yet another thing to store or sell on once our baby had outgrown it. We found it easy to assemble and very easy to use. What really impressed me was the support and encouragement to keep using the Bednest for as long as our baby was benefitting from it, instead of pressure to return it by a particular date or a further rental charge - really excellent service.

What can I say about the bed nest...... a moses basket didn't work, the pram didn't work, even sleeping in my bed didn't work....but the bed nest DID!
What a fantastic resources it was and I have to say I shed a little tear when she was too big for it. I love that I could have my little Robyn next to me and know that we could all sleep safely.
I know the idea of it is that baby can see you and is comforted...but honestly I felt comforted knowing I could open one eye and see her. The amount of nights I feel asleep holding her hand.
Best item we had, if this was my first child rather than my last I definitely would have bought it. Loved that we could rent it at a fraction of the cost.
Thanks you so much for the bed nest, it's a great and much needed product.
Well worth the money for hiring it. Great service from bed nest getting it
to and from me. Can't thank you enough for helping to make my life easier
having a baby.
Really great service and my baby was very comfortable for the first five
months in the bednest - it was lovely having the baby shower close next to
the bed. Service of hiring bednest and if being delivered with new sheets
and mattress etc was super convenient.

I loved the bednest I had a few tears packing it back into the box to return. It's been great I can't tell you how much easier it made the first few months. I miss having it and my baby next to me. It even looks good as well as being practical.
I recommend the rental service to all my friends. It's easy and practical I found it so much more useful than the Moses basket. The bed is so easy to use move around and take away. Returning it was so easy I called to arrange pick up and it was collected less than an hour and a half later meaning no storage issues. I could go on and on about my love for this bed. When talking about it to a pregnant acquaintance I had to stop and point out I wasn't on commission.
Now to find a clever way to reuse the mattress.

The best thing I did was get a Bednest on hire! I knew she was my last baby
and therefore would have no use for it in future and therefore no point in
buying one! I absolutely loved having her so close and was truly sad when
she was too big! The service was first class and professional, even down the
the information on repacking and returning! Your clear instructions and
insistence to keep all original packaging made it a breeze! Finally, the
email correspondence and support to keep the crib for longer than the 6
months if needed, was the icing on the cake!
We were very happy with the crib! I personally like the design a lot... The foldaway design was particularly good when it came to taking the family on nights away. Also your service is fantastic and I'd happily recommend a bednest to others.
As I said in my previous email to you - The bednest was wonderful for my baby who slept safely and comfortably near us. The scheme has improved since my first baby whereby there is flexibility in the rental period (this meant that we could order and calmly set up the bednest a few weeks before baby's arrival). I recommend your service to all patents-to-be.
All the best,

The bednest rental was perfect for me! I felt close to my baby without any
fear of harming him. It was also great in the first 6 weeks when feeding him
as I had a c-section, so the less movement the better! We also used it when
we visited family and it was super easy to assemble and pack away.
I would definitely use this rental service again.

Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish. Flawless! 6- star ;)

I just wanted to say thank you for the excellent customer service we received during our bednest rental period. We had originally booked our rental to start a week before our due date, but when our baby made a surprise arrival 5 weeks early Diane was so helpful, and arranged for short notice delivery really quickly and simply. We have loved using the bednest and we’re quite sad to see it go! The returns process has also been quick and easy. We would highly recommend renting a bednest, and if the chance arises will be doing so again in the future!Kind regards

The bednest was just brilliant, I loved being able to lie next to my little one, whilst still having space for myself. She was a fan too, she liked having her hand held whilst falling asleep :). It also made night feeds so much easier (this was our second baby and we didn't have a co-sleeper for our first).
The rental scheme was such great value, ordering and returning were super simple, I'd recommend it to anyone.

I just wanted to send a belated thank you for the Bednest crib rental; I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
I think the concept is great, we loved using the crib (and still miss it!) and your customer service is spot on; altogether a refreshingly straightforward and pleasant experience.

I found the bednest to be a safe and practical way to keep my baby close at
night; it was just like an extension of our bed and made comforting my baby
and night-time feeding so much easier. I would recommend the bednest to all
20th December 2016
I used the Bednest from birth, first for my son (born in 2014) and then for
my daughter (born 2016). Both babies stayed in the Bednest until they were
about 5 months old, when I moved them to a larger cot. I loved the Bednest,
and more importantly, they did too! It was wonderful having them sleeping so
close to me in the early weeks, and I loved being able to see them through
the mesh sides, and hold their hand and stroke them with the side down.
Moving them from the bed into the Bednest, and vice versa, for night
feeding, was really easy. I appreciated how simple the Bednest was to set up
and dismantle, and my daughter was quite a sicky baby, so it was great being
able to tilt the mattress slightly, which I think made a difference for her.
The Bednest itself looks beautiful and I loved seeing it in our room - I was
really sorry when I had to pack it up and send it back! Overall I think the
rental scheme is great: really good value, and it means you don't have to
store the cot afterwards, and it can be useful to another family. I think
the Bednest is a beautiful, well designed cot, which was a pleasure to use
and gave our family a very happy start. Thank-you!

I cannot recommend your product enough 5 star rating on customer service, product quality, price and ease of return.
Our little girl loved the bed nest and it gave us some precious moments as well as sleep. It was so easy to nurse her at night and then return her peacefully and effortlessly back to her bed. The tilt facility also helped her with her reflux.
We do not have a lot of room so it snugly fit beside our bed and being able to return the item meant I did not have to worry about storage.
I would highly recommend this product to any new mum. Absolutely fantastic.
Thank you so much.
25th November 2016
Thank you so much. It's an excellent service you provide, and my partner and were very happy that our new baby slept in the cot for first six months in our room, knowing she was safe and comfortable.
25th November 2016
We've found both the Bednest and the scheme fantastic. I will recommend it to everyone.
It's great that you've changed it to be whenever you are ready to return because that really takes the pressure off and makes the bednest experience even better. The return itself was so easy to do once I finally got around to it!
The bednest itself is stylish, sturdy, easy to use and we even took it away as a travel cot because it packs down so small and he was used to sleeping in it.
Can't speak highly enough of the whole thing.
25th November 2016
I have found the whole bednest rental experience excellent. Great customer
service, easy to assemble, as new condition and easy to return. And a great
product. I'd recommend both the product and the rental service without
Just a bit sad she has now grown out of it- she is not so keen on her cot!
21st November 2016
It was without doubt the best baby purchase I made and I would not hesitate to hire again if I had another baby. The ease of having it delivered straight to my door and collected once finished saved
the hassle of having to store it or sell it on. Having my baby next to me for feeding and comfort in the night made her transition to this world so much easier and when we went and stayed with family she slept well as it
packed up easily and came with us. I loved being able to have the bednest as long as needed as neither we nor our daughter was ready at 6 months to move to her cot but at 7 months she was ready and it was so lovely that we didn't have to rush the transition which also meant she transitioned with no
problem at all. Thank you bednest for such a brilliant product and for having the option to hire. I would highly recommend you to anyone having a baby and thinking of using a co-sleeper crib.

Dear bednest! I have so much good things to write about bednest, the product itself is fantastic, along with the process of ordering , delivery and returns, with customer service being outstanding. The product itself came immaculate like brand new condition, it is stylish, practical and most importantly very safe , with it being so adjustable to the height of your bed, being able to tether it to your bed this was very important with a bouncing 2 year old who wanted to see her sister every morning ! The space in the cot is perfect and accommodated her till 7 months, totally secure happy sleeping baby! It was perfect to stay in our room and didn't take up lots of space.
The customer service was excellent! Helpful including extending the length of time and returns hastle free.
If I had known about this product for my first child I would definitely of used this from birth , as I'm pretty sure it's helped this one sleep so safely and soundly. Every single mum I meet at a baby group who is upset as they are having to move them early as they are out of mosses baskets etc I stop them and share the bednest
17th October 2016
I haven't a bad word to say about the Bednest or rental scheme. We were recommended it by a friend and tried it with our second baby who wouldn't sleep in a moses basket. She was much better in the Bednest as it allowed her to stay closer to me and made things like feeding in the night much easier. The whole process of the rental scheme was great. Delivery was quick and returning it was no great effort, particularly as the postage was already paid. I really appreciated that there was no rush to return it so our daughter could benefit from it as long as possible. All I can say is 'thank you.' Laura

Thank you so much for letting me rent this crib. It was perfect for myself and my baby. Being able to get him from it simply without having to get out of bed was great especially for those early weeks after recovering from labour. I would and have recommended you to pregnant friends. Your service was exceptional too. Once again, thank you, Cat (and baby Elijah)

I found the service of bednest excellent. Quick service and easy to set up. Once opened it all looks & feels brand new.
Bednest is extremely practical as it allows you to tilt the angle of the bed, especially in my case as my little boy had severe reflux. In one occasion we also travelled with it but most importantly, it also gave me that extra peace of mind to have him right next to me.
No hassle to return the product and flexibility on the time frame once your little one has outgrown it.
Definitely recommend it, and so happy that I didn’t purchase anything for those few months, a great idea and a greener option! Barbara.

Thank you so much for the rental of our bednest.
I absolutely love love loved our bednest. When our son was born we just assumed we'd do the same as we did with out first child and have him in a moses basket, but after a recommendation of the bednest we thought we'd give it a try and the rental option was a great idea for us. We knew we didn't want any more children so didn't want to pay full cost to buy one and this seemed like the perfect option.
I'm over the moon we made the decision to rent it, I could lay in bed and hold my son's hand whilst he fell asleep, I would then pop up the side and continue to look at his beautiful face through the mesh side and when he'd stur in the night I was right there to comfort him.
Out of all the baby items we got this was by far the best thing!!!
Thank you again! Ali

Renting the bednest was the best thing I did, aside from actually having my baby! It was easy to order, came on time, easier to assemble and just such a dream to use for the 6 months we had it for. To have my little one an arms distance away and in literal reaching distance was not only practical but allowed me to cherish those newborn moments in the best way possible. Thank you for your impeccable service and product, I have and will continue to recommend you to everyone I know.

We are delighted with using bednest. It was such an easy system to use. The bednest was like brand new and I got to enjoy co-sleeping with my baby in a safe way. Very easy to send back. Customer service is excellent. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending renting a bednest. Thankyou.
9th September 2016
Amazing service and really appreciated the flexibility given on return date
of the cot. I will be recommending this service to my friends.
7th September 2016
Thank you for the excellent service. The hire of the bednest was so simple.
My baby was cosy in the bednest and it was the perfect size for her whilst
she was very small. I loved having her right beside me at night and it made
night feeding really easy as I could reach over and bring her in bed with me
and slide her back when she was asleep again.
My daughter is quite petite and has only just started pushing up on her
knees at 8.5 months so I had a good 8 months use out of the bednest. I would
certainly recommend your product to others. I just wish we'd had it for our
older 2 children when they were tiny!
Many thanks again, Amy

"Many thanks to BedNest for their excellent product, service and flexibility. We loved the bed nest. It was ideal for the first few months of baby Alec's life. It was simple, attractive and functioned perfectly for our needs. It was easy to place the baby in and take baby out for night time feeding. We also travelled with the cot to grandparents house so Alec could sleep in his usual cot - it packed and transported easily. I found the company of BedNest courteous and prompt and flexible when I asked to extend my BedNest lease for two months. Finally, the instructions were clear. Many thanks and we will miss having our little man so close at night time." Best wishes, Suzanne

Thanks very much for the hire of your bednest crib - it made night time
feeds so easy and my baby loved it in there. I was sad to move him into his
big cot! I've already recommended it to friends and family, and if the
situation arises again I will be hoping to hire another one next time!
You provide amazing service, replying to email queries immediately, and I
love that you don't pressure your customers into returning the cribs before
Thanks again :)

My husband and I found the bednest to be a fantastic and crucial part to our first six months as parents. We breastfed our baby boy and having him right by our bed at the same height was incredibly convenient when he was feeding every couple of hours. We literally popped the side down, slid him into bed, fed and slid a sleepy babe back again. It also put this first time mum's mind at rest when I could peak in to check on him through the mesh siding without leaving my bed. Although a tiny baby at first, he soon grew into the bednest and loved the close yet airy environment. Paying a fraction of the cost, having the item delivered to your door and using a handy drop off point to return it, made the whole experience hassle free. I would highly recommend the bednest to other mums to be. Thank you for all your assistance. Catherine and Michael.

We loved the bednest, it made things a lot easier in the early days. It was just lovely having our little girl so close by and knowing she had her own space and was safe.
I would recommend, and I have done, to all my friends expecting.
With so many things to buy, and so little space, it was great to just give it back when we were done.
Thank you, Julia

I absolutely loved our bed nest and wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to anyone.
My son loved sleeping in it and I loved being able to reach out to him at night, to have him sleep so close and to feed him easily.
Not only was the bed nest great but the customer service was even better. My son arrived unexpectedly 5 weeks early. I emailed in to ask for our bed nest to arrive a little earlier and it arrived within the next few days. When my rental period was up my son, who was still quite small for his age was still using the bed nest it was extended without question.
My only complaint with my bed nest was that I didn't have it when I had my daughter who is now 4 years old.
8th August 2016
I would like to say I have thoroughly loved using the Bednest. It has been lovely waking up right next to my daughter, making night feeds much easier.
She sleeps brilliantly at 8 months and I definitely think using the Bednest
helped. The rental scheme was a great idea for me. This baby is my 4th with no plans
for a 5th so I didn't want to be stuck with another moses basket or crib
that I then needed to find a new home for. The delivery and return were both
really easy. The only regret I have is that I didn't use one with the other 3! Thanks again, Lois

If I could shout from the rooftops I would tell all the Mama's out there how great the bednest is! Mind you in this era it is more likely to be on Facebook! I used the bednest for both my children and it was invaluable. I could not imagine a better cot to have your newborn baby in. The first three months in a baby's life is often called the fourth trimester for good reason as your baby needs you very close all the time. A mother can reassure their baby easily and having them so close to you at night that you can even hear them breathe is really reassuring to Mama too! The bednest is the perfect way to always be close to your baby safety. It is really practical too whether you are bottle or breast-feeding as you can meet your baby's needs quickly and efficiently without even getting out of bed as they are at the same level as you, which means both of you get a lot more sleep! When they get a bit older and start to roll as they always do, it takes a moment to put them back on their backs. The size of the cot is a perfect size for a newborn who is used to the tight space inside the womb. Sleeping next to you helps them settle as they know Mama is close - they can even smell you! Even psychologist and scientists agree that having your baby close boosts there brain development and levels of those happy chemicals which keep babies calm. I will defintely be renting a bed nest again if we have a third child. Renting is such a great way to get all the advantages of the bednest without the expense of buying one. I highly recommend renting whether you have your heart set on the bednest or you are still unsure and want to limit your risk. Either way I am sure you will love it and will not be able to imagine putting your newborn baby in any other cot!

A great service from yourselves - customer service at its very best!
You let me extend my rental for free for a whole month and I was late
returning due to my little boy being poorly so he slept in it for another
week! Delivery was fast collection the same day just a fab service. I loved
the bednest and was sad to see it go. A great price too.
Thank you so much!!

Thank you very much for the bednest it was superb. Great product and very flexible.
I used it at multiple locations and it was really easy to transport and set up effortlessly.
Tip top easy customer service and communication.
I would definitely use the service again and recommend to our friends and family.

I ordered this for my second son after using a cot for my first. The difference was immesearable I'm so happy I ordered it. It made breastfeeding overnight much simpler as I was able to disturb him as little as possible and he'd quickly settle back to sleep. It was really special to be sleeping next to my new baby and reaching over to him if he needed me or just to watch him sleep. The process of ordering was so simple and a great price with a comfy mattress and sheets. To return once finished was very convenient and meant we had some space back in our house when we have a lot of baby equipment collecting. I have been recommending to my friends and if baby 3 ever happens I wouldn't hesitate to rent again. Thank you very much I have lovely 6month memories of safely sharing my side if the bed with my son.

We have been absolutely delighted with our Bednest hire. Your service is
very efficient and receiving and returning the Bednest was easy.
Our baby daughter was comfortable in the crib from an early age. Having her
right next to me made it easier and more relaxing to feed her during the
night. While she suffered from colic we were able to raise the bed end
slightly to help her sleep. The sides were easy to open but felt secure and
the cot adjusted easily and was secure either against the bed or as a stand
alone crib, which we used as she grew older in order to smoothly transition
to her cot.
We were also able to take our Bednest on holiday so that our baby could
sleep in her usual bed, which meant no sleepless nights!!
I have recommended Bednest to many people. It is bigger than a Moses basket
and much more adaptable so she was able to stay in our room (no room for a
cot), well into her 7th month. We also think hiring is a great idea as we do
not need to store it or sell it on! If we have another baby we would
certainly use this service again. It is one of the most successful newborn
equipment choices we made
Thank you so much and feel free to quote this.
Thank you so much for the bednest rental. It was a life saver to have our new little bundle right next to us at night. The sloped feature is amazing and really helped when she had wind or a blocked nose. It's so easy to assemble and very easy to keep clean. We will definitely be renting again when we have another one :) thanks to you and your team.

We loved the Bednest! Out of all the equipment we used with our newborn, the Bednest is the one I recommend most to others. From the service from the Bednest team, to the design and quality of the product, all are exemplary. Having our newborn sleeping safely within arms reach for 6-months gave me great peace of mind as well as making night feeds considerably easier than having to get out of bed, which would have been a challenge whilst recovering from a difficult birth. Many of my friends who tried the more traditional route - Moses basket followed by full sized cot - regretted it as their baby outgrew the Moses basket too soon and the full sized cot was not in their bedroom, so they were worried about SIDs, given the current recommendation is sharing the same room for the first 6-months.
Thanks again and all the best, Barbara

I'd just like to say that I absolutely LOVED the bednest and am very upset
now that my little boy has outgrown it! I only wish we'd rented one for our
firstborn too instead of muddling through with the old Moses basket! Being
able to pop the side down to see Angus was lovely - and it was so much
easier to get him out for feeds (he's such a big lump that lifting him in

The service was awesome too - really impressed at the ease of the rental
process (really, REALLY helpful when you have a newborn baby and are a bit
sleep deprived!). I've recommended the bednest to every single person I know
who's expecting as a piece of must-have baby kit.
Thanks so much for providing such a super service - it really did help make
these first few months that bit easier!

I hope this email finds you and your team well. I apologise for the delay in responding - in all honesty since I've given back the Bednest I'm yet to have a good nights rest! I cannot sing the Bednest's praises enough. I was looking for something that didn't take up too much room, and this was perfect. I'm not one for sitting for a few hours constructing furniture - so this was ideal in the sense it was pretty much ready to use out of the box, and setting it up or folding it away took less than a minute so really didn't take up much time in my already hectic schedule. The actual Bednest itself is very sturdy and of such good quality I have recommended it to everyone I know. I took advantage of the rental scheme - and every night she would sleep soundly in the Bednest, even when she woke because she could see me through the mesh side panel, she would wake up and just stare for a little while before she remembered to cry! Even after my 6 months were up I wasn't ready to let go of the Bednest (and neither was my daughter) so the team happily extended the rental for a further month, in hindsight if I knew how amazing this was before I would have purchased it outright. However if anyone is unsure whether they want to commit to purchasing or don't plan on having another child or whatever reason, the rental scheme provides you with a new mattress, sheets, mesh side panels and the Bednest itself looks new because of its top quality so rest assured you are still receiving a top grade item. I can honestly say that this has been the best baby purchase I've made and thank the Bednest team for providing such an amazing item and service to the general public! Best wishes for the future! May the company continue to grow and succeed. Aminah

Thanks! I loved using the bednest, especially after I ended up with having and unexpected emergency c section it was nice having my baby right beside me. I loved the fact that you could see the baby through the mesh sides and this little one settled best at night compared to my other babies who never slept great in their moses baskets. An easy ordering and returns system was faultless and I have already recommended he bednest to other friends!

The Bednest cot is wonderful! After having an unplanned c-section with my
first baby I was desperate for something that would make my life easier if I
were to have another one with my second baby. I throughly researched all of
the bedside cots on the market at the moment, & for me-the Bednest won hands
down. The ease of putting it up (& down), the fact that I could rent it at a
fraction of the selling price, & just how safe & secure I knew my baby would
It certainly didn't disappoint. I didn't end up having another c-section,
but still took a very long time to recover after having some complications
at birth. The Bednest was a life saver! Having my daughter so close was not
only easier because I found it difficult to move, but I just loved sleeping
next to her. I could easily put my hand over the side to re-assure her! The
sides are mesh so she could see me too. She stayed next to me for over 6
months, & I actually felt sad that she'd outgrown it! She's now in her own
room.. & i'm still trying to get used it!
The ordering process was super easy, everyone is so helpful at the company &
the returning was very simple too!
I would most definitely recommend this to any friends (in fact I have
already!) and if my husband ever agrees to a number three- I'll be straight
online renting another one!!
Thank you Bednest

I would just like to say how great I found the whole experience of renting
from yourselves. After having an emergency cesarean the bednest was a
godsend with getting up to my little one in the night. He wouldn't settle in
his Moses basket at all but loved the bednest. Everything was like brand new
and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to new parents.
14th June 2016
I can only say I really really really loved the bednest. We returned it because my son simply didn't fit anymore, and I cried about that, haha.
Hopefully someday Bednest will also make bednests in bigger sizes, so when I maybe get a second baby in the future, he or she can stay longer on my side in a beautiful crib like the little co-sleeper.
13th June 2016
Renting the bednest was the best purchase I made regarding baby equipment! I
could not fault it one bit! My daughter slept soundly in it until she was 6
months old. The design is beautiful, the mattress was very soft and the size
was perfect! The tilt option really helped my baby's reflux which was a god
send! I recommended them to everyone and will definitley be renting one
again for my second. The drop off and pick up was so hassle free and easy! I
was sad to see it go
Can't thank you enough! Jessica

I found it to be the perfect way to keep my baby close while sleeping. I'm convinced everyone in our family got more sleep because of the Bednest. I've raved about it to my friends. In addition to being so functional, it is beautiful! The warm wood is such a nice contrast to all of the plastic baby supplies in the marketplace.
9th June 2016
Thank you so much, the Bednest was absolutely brilliant - couldn't fault it - easy to use, the incline function was a god-send during snuffly/runny nose episodes, brilliant that you can interchange the side from being down to up without having to undo the whole crib (like a similar crib currently on the market) and to top it off it was so spacious. Also it was lovely to find out that we could return it when we were ready too - when I originally ordered it, I thought that it would have to be returned exactly after 6 months. The way it reads on the website, would lead you to think so, so after receiving several emails saying that we could return it in our own time, it was very reassuring to know that we could get our baby used to a cot but have the still have the Bednest in our room, should she need it.
If I heard about this 3 years ago, I would have rented it for my eldest daughter. I have recommended it to everyone.
16th May 2016
My husband and I were both delighted with the product, and it really helped to settle our baby daughter. It was useful in establishing a calm and easy breastfeeding night routine, and I am sure it helped in the bonding process. We have also been impressed with the customer service we received, both before, during and after use of the bednest. Having our second child was far from easy; we had some health scares in the beginning and so we were distracted and therefore far from prompt in returning the bednest. The fact that this was acceptable and the company placed importance on our enjoyment and use of the bednest was a huge help.
I have since recommended the bednest rental service to several friends, and should we have another baby we will definitely rent or buy from you again. Many thanks! Gavin and Jessica
16th May 2016
It was fantastic! The rental was really easy (and it's lovely to just have it collected, rather than having to try and sell it or give it away like I am having to with all the other baby stuff). It's a lovely piece of
furniture - much more sturdy and safe-feeling than a Moses basket. And we all got so much sleep!!!
11th May 2016
I really cant thank Bednest enough.. the product itself.. the sales and
after sales department.. I have recommended you to so many people. Although
not currently practising I am a midwife and worked with hundreds of women
over many years.. as well as having 3 children myself. I have worked with
and brought so many gimmicky gadgets aimed at supporting women, encouraging
bonding after birth etc.. We only need to walk around huge department stores
made specifically for mother and baby to see whats on offer. In all this
time I have never had the privilege of using such a lovely item. We have co
sleeping cots in the hospital and I have worked with others but the bed nest
I personally found was the nicest by any means. It is sturdy, well
positioned and adjustable.. its aesthetically pleasing and really durable.
My 2 year old often would come into see baby and I never had any worry he
would topple it unlike the moses basket. The drop down sides allowing the
baby to slide across with the barrier to safe guard baby falling down the
gap is brilliant. I loved the transparent mesh window panels ..... The instructions and guidelines where
clear and the after sales customer service where excellent with questions. I
definitely think I kept it longer than most as it was my favourite thing to
hear her snuffling around next to me. knowing I would hear her if she woke
was peace of mind and that I wasn't going to squash her in my sleep meant I
slept soundly at night. For a mother of 3 young children to say I was well
rested is wonderful. It made night time feeds easy and I adored waking up
and seeing her little face in the morning. It was easy to sooth her at night
and quickly and she would often reach out to hold hands with whoever is next
to her.. especially my eldest son of 6 who often wanted to sleep with her
and this cot made it possible and safe.. they have a great bond now.. I
think all of these factors have helped her to be a truly contented happy
little lady.. it really was a special piece of equipment. She has now made
an easy transition to her cot.. I will continue to pass on your details.. Im
just sad I didn't know about this with my sons..
Thank you again
11th May 2016
I loved my bednest, it was easy to order, price super affordable compared to other similar bassinets. They even sent it a little before when I requested it. It was super easy to set up. My baby has enjoyed it for his first six months of his life, and we both love it!! I was sad to let it go.
Thank you very much! If I have another baby, I will definitely order another bednest.
6th May 2016
The Bednest was, without doubt, the best (rental) purchase I made for my
daughter. I didn't have one for my son and wish now that I had. The comfort
of having her right by me was great for both of us but the best thing was
that I didn't have to get out of bed to feed her in the night. I'm finding a
cot in her own room a bit hard going now!
I suffered with bad PND and PTSD after the birth of my son. I haven't had it
with my daughter and I think her being so close at night really helped.
The customer service is brilliant. I sent an email at 10.30pm one night and
it was answered by the MD even though it wasn't important and could easily
have waited. I was able to extend my rental with no bother through yourself.
Thank you so much. I recommend you to everyone!
6th May 2016
Such a fantastic idea.
Cot was perfect size. Easy to fit. Lasted for ages. Really well priced.
Loved the option to purchase later on although not needed for us as our
family is complete!!
Maybe better positive advertising of the rental option as I didn't know
about this till he was 3 months age....I then ordered quickly!
6th May 2016
We rented the bednest for the arrival of our baby daughter. The process from
start to finish was really simple and easy and the bednest arrived on time
(I think we may have actually asked it a bit earlier than we originally
requested which was handled without a problem)
The Bednest was perfect for us and our baby. It gave us great peace of
mind to have her right next to our bed and I feel increased our bonding no
end. It made night time feeds and waking so much easier to have her right
next to me. I feel she slept a lot more soundly having me so close to her.
The bednest was easy to assemble and perfect to take away for overnight
stays as it is so compact when folded down. It's a snug and cozy little bed
for little ones....we reluctantly moved our daughter to her cot and 6.5
months old as she was outgrowing the bednest. However we had 6.5 lovely
months of her right next to us sleeping soundly (mostly!)
I couldn't recommend the bednest enough, and the rental package makes it
5th May 2016
The service, we received from you guys was exceptional from start to finish.
The product was easy to erect and helped us throughout the first 6 months of
our daughters adjustment in to the world, thank you.
22 April 2016
The bednest is my number one recommendation for any family getting ready to welcome a new baby!! It was so helpful with developing a good breastfeeding relationship (still going, 8 months strong here). Not only is it convenient for nighttime feedings and tending to baby, it's also a beautiful addition to a bedroom. We rented our bednest, because we have very little storage space, and we were so sad to send it back. If we have another child, I would want nothing less than a bednest! I honestly feel like I can't speak highly enough of this product. Thank you so much for providing us with a wonderful 7 1/2 months of close, safe sleeping with our new baby!!"
Thanks so much!! Alexandra
22 April 2016
'I've got 3 children, my 2 boys I used a Moses Basket for but my daughter I had the Bednest and by far this was the best! It was so nice having her lay right next to me so I could see her all the time and I always felt she was safe in there. I'd thoroughly recommend this for anyone with a newborn. Excellent product ??"
21 April 2016
Thank you very much! We had a wonderful experience with the Bednest. It is designed wonderfully and we used it to its full potential... We traveled with it and used it daily for many months. We loved the product and it was very reasonably priced!
21 April 2016
I would recommend the Bednest to all new parents. Excellent value for money,
great build quality and easy to assemble. Our daughter slept very
comfortably in it and it was so reassuring that she was next to me at all
times, whilst being safe. An absolute god send for night feeds and the
translation from arms to crib! Fantastic service from Bednest too.
21 April 2016
The Bednest was by far the best thing we've used for our baby boy to date, the build quality is excellent easy to assemble and very versatile. The rental scheme is great value for money with stress free delivery and return it's perfect would not hesitate to recommend.
21 April 2016
I can honestly say this is the best bit of kit we purchased & have already
recommended the bednest to friends who are expecting.
I only wish we had it with our first child.
We've used the bednest from when our baby was 2 weeks old prior to this we
had a crib at the side of the bed which my son just did not settle in.
However as soon as we swapped to bednest our son seemed more content,
settled & slept much better.
I believe this is because it is light & airy, cosy, snug & he was able to
see me from his bednest which was attached to our bed.
I also felt more content & confident being able to safely lay next to him &
see him but also having the reassurance that he was safe in his bednest.
Absolutely brilliant for breast feeding as well, I could slide him out with
minimal disruption, feed him & then pop him safely back in nest.
20 April 2016
I absolutely loved the bed nest. Best thing I've had for my baby. Wish I had had one for my last baby. I recommend it to anyone. It makes the first few months with your baby so much more precious. The rental service is brilliant and so easy. The price is great too, works out at £10 a month, so worth it. Then u don't need to store it afterwards, just send it back!
Thanks a lot.
I would just like to say what a great piece of kit the Bednest is. The whole process was so easy from start to finish. I used a Moses basket for my firstborn and had memories of not being too happy (v sleep deprived) having to get out of bed to get to her/put her back even though she was right next to the bed! So, 3 years on, when pregnant again I decided to 'treat' myself by hiring the Bednest for my second child. I had no idea just how much I was going to LOVE the Bednest. Having baby, safe, right next to me, at the same height, was just great. No having to haul myself out of bed this time around. Wonderful! Brilliant! So much so...I wanted to cry when I packed up the Bednest and my 6 month old moved into his own room. I would definitely recommend to mums-to-be it as a 'must have' for those precious first few months with baby.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend renting/buying a bednest to a new mother.
The service has been brilliant from Start to finish. I had concerns about the mattress and sides being reused
each time but the bednest turned up with brand new and sealed sides and mattress.
The cot itself was spotless and in brilliant condition.
It was simple to assemble (there was no assembling about it really!!) and
fit perfectly next to our bed. We never took the crib part off the frame to
use around the house but you could if needed.
I was exclusively Breast feeding to it made the night feeds that much easier
having him So closer. I liked being able to co-sleep but with him being
safe. It also lasted much longer than a Moses basket would!
Returning it was simple as its pre paid and you just have to organise a
collection. Thank you for the brilliant service...we hope to use you again in the
future! Kind regards Chloe
I really appreciated the good customer service. The Bednest arrived on time and I've been given 2 extra months for free. I loved that I can have my baby on my side during the first months of her life and that I didn't have to worry for her safety. The side panels are very useful and you can open them from your bed which was very helpful. The bednest is simple but very useful and very good quality. Kind regards, Maria
The Bednest was one of the best pieces of baby equipment we had during the first few months. We loved having our new daughter so close at night, but without the worry of rolling over onto her. As I was exclusively breastfeeding, it also made night time feeds really easy. I have been recommending it to everyone I know who is expecting a baby.
We also liked the rental scheme as it's good to know the frame will be reused and not just end up as landfill. Kind regards,
Thanks so much for the rental of the very useful bed nest. The whole set up from delivery, use and returns was so easy and efficient. I loved being so close to my baby and wish I had known about you four years ago with my first son. I would definitely recommend you and use your company again. Can't believe how quickly the last 6.5 monhs gone as wanted to keep my baby in there longer. Thanks again
March 22nd 2016
I had my daughter in the bed nest right up to the point she could physically no longer fit in it haha I loved it, it made things so much easier especially with breast feeding at night as she would just roll straight into our bed. I would recommend the bed nest to anyone as the rental scheme worked brilliantly for me and the fact I was allowed to keep it beyond the 6 months was a great help.
March 22nd 2016
We have loved renting the Bednest; from day one it gave us complete peace of mind regarding her safety. I also believe it helped create & sustain a bond with her, being right by my side opposed to a Moses basket.
Our babygirl has just gone into her cot 2 days ago at 6months old & I miss her so much already.
The Bednest rental was a complete bargain too! Your customer service has also been excellent with speedy responses & great flexibility in changing delivery times etc.
March 11th 2016
Hi, we wouldn't hesitate in having a bednest again in the future or recommending to friends, it was a sturdy product and we felt it was very safe and secure for our new daughter to sleep in and
also give us peace of mind that she was right next to us in the night which
assisted with nighttime feeds. Great product. Thanks Janet
March 10th 2016
I just want to say how wonderful our bednest experience was!! I have already
recommended you to a friend who is expecting.
We were so sad when we had to send it back, we are first time parents so
having our son within arms reach really put our minds at ease, plus using
the bednest made night feedings so much easier! The incline definitely
helped when our little one had a snotty nose. We will definitely be hiring
another when the time comes, We love you bednest!! Regards, Kerry.
March 1st 2016
I can't recommend Bednest enough, I have rented one for both my boys, I love having my babies so close to me. If anyone is thinking of getting a Bednest for their baby, it'll be one of the best things you ever get. It breaks my heart when they grow out of it.
It is great for if you go away (not abroad), it was so easy to fold up and pop in the car. The tilt option is fantastic for colds or snuffles.
March 1st 2016
My son was in the bednest from the day he got home from hospital until he was almost six months. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say it has been a life changer for us. So easy to move him between the nest and bed for feeds and cuddles. He seemed to settle in it well knowing we were just beside him. An absolute joy. I only wish I'd had one for my daughter when she was born. I've recommended the bednest to friends and they love it too. Excellent value. Thank you!
February 5th 2016
We loved the bednest and so did our baby. I loved having him so close to me at night and it made breastfeeding so easy. Being able to tilt the bednest stand helped us to manage his reflux. It lasted longer than a Moses basket too as its slightly bigger and was much easier to transport when staying away as it easily folds flat. Would definitely recommend. Clare.
January 20th 2016
I would just like to say that your customer service has been fantastic, and the cot was brilliant, especially since our little one had colic for the first couple of months, and having this cot meant we could tilt it & it helped immensely. An all round good find & I would thoroughly recommend to other mums.
January 20th 2016
I have absolutely loved using it Bruno is our second baby and I heard about you guys from friends when I was pregnant. Your customer care has been brilliant and it was so easy to use and just made sense to us as a family. At a really stressful time this just made life a little bit easier and made the 2 hourly night feeds more bearable!!!! It even accompanied us on our first family holiday to Cornwall. We have recommended you guys to any expectant parents that we know and will continue to do so.

Dear Bednest Team
I would just like to thank you for a fantastic product that I have loved using and would 100% recommend to anyone who is expecting a baby. Knowing that your baby is right next to you at night is very reassuring and the fact that they are so roomy meant that my (larger than average) baby was able to sleep next to me for a full 6 months whereas many of my friends using a Moses basket have had to put their babies into their nurseries around 3 months old.
Thanks again and I look forward to using your product again when I have another baby!
December 8th 2015
Glad to hear the bednest is back with you.
I just wanted to say what an easy process hiring the bednest was, the staff
have been amazing, we were offered an additional mknth for free which was
amazing as we were still using the bednest.
I know whilst we were hiring the bednest it got some bad press which we
quickly dismissed as it the safest, easiest and loviest bedside crib to use!
We loved every minute of using it!
Thank you for the spectacular product and service! We have already been
highly recommending you and hope to use you in the future if any more little
ones come along!! Thanks again Katie.
November 7th 2015
We hired the Bednest on a six month rental, and we couldn't be happier with the Bednest and the service we received. The Bednest is a wonderful co-sleeper, we had it at the side of our bed for seven months, and I was able to breastfeed my baby boy easily and whenever he needed it. The Bednest is so versatile, we took it on numerous holidays and its easy to use design makes it so flexible. I couldn't have been happier with the service from the Bednest team as well, they were very friendly and very flexible. I would highly recommend this product if you are looking for a stylish and versatile co-sleeper.
Again thank you for the use of your wonderful product, and I wish you all the best for the future.
November 2nd 2015
We absolutely loved the Bednest! It was especially brilliant for night
feeding in the early days and it was so reassuring having my baby right
beside me but safely tucked up in his own crib.
I was a bit apprehensive hiring the Bednest and worried about the quality
with choosing this option but I shouldn't have been. It was like brand new
and with new mesh sides and a new mattress I was so happy with my decision.
I was especially pleased how stylish it looked in our bedroom too! Our baby
slept so soundly in it for just over six months. I cannot recommend the
Bednest highly enough!
The service provided from start to finish has been brilliant.
You never know I may come back for another one some time in the future.
October 22nd 2015
I used the bed best for just over 6 months, it was very easy to assemble and
perfect for my little boy. I wish I had known about this when I had my first
child 3 years ago as it would have made the early days much easier. My
little boy Jack loved the bed nest and he has always been an amazing sleeper
and I put this down to him lying next to me. I also slept better as I didn't
have the fear of rolling on him. It makes night time feeding easier and also
great for bonding as you can be beside your baby at all times. I was very
sad to pack it away as he no longer fits in it. Thanks again for the option
to hire this, we loved it!!!
October 8th 2015
I have been meaning to send through some feedback for a while now; this message has been starred in my inbox ever since I received it. I don't often leave feedback, but I feel the Bednest team deserve a special mention! I have been thoroughly impressed with the high quality customer service I have received, from when I first placed my order for a 6 month rental!
I had scheduled to have the Bednest delivered during the busy December period - and received an email from the delivery company (UPS) stating they could no longer deliver my Bednest to me and that the shipment had been cancelled! Being 38 weeks pregnant at the time, I went into absolute panic mode - I'm surprised I didn't go into labour! I emailed Bednest and received a reply within half an hour. The reply was from Mark Green, the Managing Director himself, reassuring me that my Bednest would be delivered when it was scheduled to be delivered (as a sidenote; it was UPS's mistake - they had a massive backlog because of Black Friday and the Festive season). To quote Mark: "We have put UPS under pressure stating that mothers and babies are relying on the service we provide." and of course, my Bednest arrived on the day it was meant to - perfectly packaged, with easy to understand instructions and ready to go!
The Bednest itself was easy to assemble - my husband isn't an instruction-reading type of man, so he preferred to watch the online tutorial videos. Once assembled, I was confident that my baby would be well looked after and protected when sleeping in her Bednest. I loved that I could have her right next to me, and that breastfeeding was made so much easier (because we all know how difficult that can be!). I was so sad when the time came to say goodbye - in fact, I couldn't let go and asked if I could extend my rental period.
I didn't know how much I would have to pay, thinking the company might take the overall rental price (£99 for 6 months = bargain) and work out a monthly cost. I was willing to pay anything to be fair, so imagine my surprise when I was told I could extend my rental period for FREE!!! Yes, that's right! And not for one month, the company let me keep the Bednest for TWO extra months and I didn't pay a penny more. How's that for outstanding customer service! To quote Kerry: " The extension is completely free - all we ask is that you returnthe crib when your baby has outgrown it so that other parents can experience the benefits of the Bednest."
What an amazing company! What an amazing product! Thank you Bednest team for providing my baby with a safe place to sleep for the first 7 months of her life, and for providing me with exceptional customer service (a rare find these days).
October 7th 2015
We really loved using the bednest. I had another c section this time and
when I used a Moses basket after my first section I found it very painful
and difficult to get my baby in and out for night feeds. Having the bed nest
at the same height as the bed with a side that could be easily put down and
up helped a lot and meant I could get my baby in and out with minimal pain
for feeds. The spaciousness has meant my daughter could stay in the room
with us until she was 7 months and actually we could have got longer still
out of it, but we were waking her up so she's gone in her own room. She's
had no problem transitioning to a cot which I think is partly thanks to the
fairly open design of the bednest. In all its just a great little piece of
kit, if we were planning any more children I would have bought it at the end
of the rental term! I'd highly recommend bednest to anyone.
I must thank you for extending the rental period by a further two months at
October 7th 2015
The bednest was invaluable for the first few months. I loved the fact that
Heidi was so close in the night and I was able to tend to her so easily when
needed! It felt as though we were co sleeping but it was so safe as she was
in her own section of the bed! Heidi transitioned well into her big cot and
is sleeping very well!
Thank you again for such a wonderful service! You have given top class
customer service. It was easy to return when we had finished and the rental
has been completely hassle free. Many thanks Anna
October 6th 2015
We absolutely loved using the Bednest. To be able to rent it was great,
knowing how short a period of time it is required for. I thought the email
you sent towards the end of the rental period allowing the user to keep it
for free for another month was so reassuring as the transition from bedside
to cot (in the nursery) is a huge one & that email took the pressure off!
The product itself is wonderful. I recommend it to every expectant mum I
meet & should I require it, I would definitely use it again. And yes, I
would absolutely use your rental service again too! Thank you.
September 24th 2015
We loved our Bednest and would have kept it for the next baby if storage
wasn't so limited for us. It was very easy to assembly (I managed it alone
at 39 weeks pregnant). It seemed so comfortable and safe and I loved having
my baby so close (when she wasn't actually sleeping in my bed). I liked the
tilt function which was useful in the early days when by baby had some
reflux issues. I also liked that it didn't rock so she doesn't now expect
her cotbed to rock! It easily lasted my daughter 6 months (she's very long
and not n the move yet so would have lasted till 7 months I think). She
transitioned well to her cotbed in her own room when it was time to return
the Bednest. We will rent one again when the time comes. Thanks.
September 24th 2015
I would say that this is one of the best things I had for my baby. He loved it and it made life so much more easier to feed him and comfort him during the night. Your customer service is excellent and has even given me two months extra rental free of charge to allow us time to transit our little one to a cot. Thank you so much! I have no reservation to recommend you to any one.
September 23rd 2015
Glad to hear it arrived back safely. The crib was a brilliant decision and
helped with safe sleeping and breastfeeding my baby. Lola is my third and it
is the first time I used the bednest. I wish I'd have known about the crib
with my first two as I co- slept with them both and would have found it
really helpful. The rental scheme is great value for money and really easy
to use... I was surprised how simple it was to organise delivery and
collection and the crib came with good instructions and even an
antibacterial spray to clean it down. It's been a great experience that I
would certainly recommend to others. I'm happy for you to share my feedback.
September 23rd 2015
I can't recommend the bed nest highly enough. I wish I'd had one for my first born. It allowed me to keep my baby within eye view without her actually being in my bed and was so much more convenient than a Moses basket which used to make my back ache where it was lower than the level of my bed.
I would definitely hire one again if we have another.
And I love the design of it, it's cool and stylish.
And it's easy to travel with, much better than a travel cot. Felicia
September 22nd 2015
We really enjoyed our bednest experience. We loved co-sleeping with our
gorgeous baby boy and I slept well knowing he had his own safe little space.
The bednest really facilitated breastfeeding. We hated returning it but our
little man is getting big! The rental scheme was such a great service- I
love not have an extra piece of baby equipment around now that we are
finished with it. We will recommend it to all our expectant friends.
Thanks so much
September 18th 2015
All I can say is that I was really happy with my decision to rent the bed nest - the service from beginning to end was very professional and hassle-free. It meant my baby could stay in my room until I was ready for her to move out (other mum's have been complaining to me that their babies grew out of their Moses baskets and they felt pushed into putting them in their cot or in another room) and I loved the set up of the bed nest in that it made soothing her at night easier and easy access for feeding. I will be recommending it to others. Heather
September 18th 2015
We have loved having the Bednest. It was one of the best maternity investments. Our baby was suffering from reflux and we were desperate to find a solution. The adjustable tilt of the bed really helped him feel better. The Bednest was particularly ideal at night. I could just pick our baby up to feed and then roll him back to his Bednest. We could also see him through the sides, which made us feel closer. All in all ideal for safe co-sleeping. The Bednest worked really well during the day as well. It is so easy to carry and move that we put it in the rooms we were in for the baby to nap or play. The Bednest itself is a testimony to its producer s concern for quality material and design. Everyone at Bednest ltd was also really helpful from beginning to end, providing prompt advice on how to set up the crib, useful follow up emails as well as providing a hassle free return service. The Bednest is without doubt the best crib around and I strongly recommend it. Thank you again for this useful product.
September 18th 2015
The Bednest rental was one of the smartest choices we made as new parents. Was fantastic having our boy so close and allowed for nice, low-key night feeds during the early months. Very pleased with the high quality mattress as well, which we sure we'll continue to use even though our Bednest has been returned. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!
September 14th 2015
I was so sad to see this go. With my first we co-slept in my bed which I loved but didn't really sleep knowing the safety concerns. The bednest has enabled me to be so close to my daughter but her still be safe. She loved it that much she would not sleep anywhere else. It has taken us three weeks to get her to sleep in her cot! When she had a cold I had the peace of mind that I could slightly tilt the crib to ease her breathing instead of adding to the bed to raise her up. I would love bednest to make a bigger version! My only regret is I hadn't found this when my son was born. Would highly recommend to anyone not only for the reassurance they are close but also for selfish reasons...I didn't have to get out of bed during the night :) thank you for your service. Amazing company x

The Bednest was brilliant. We initially opted for a Moses basket but soon found out that the stand was far too high to be able to see baby from bed. I was spending what little time I had to sleep bobbing up and down to check that he was still ok. That's why Idecided to hire the Bednest I remember seeing it advertised on Facebook and thought the see through side panels and the fact that the height could be
altered was just the solution we needed.
We have truly enjoyed using the Bednest it made night feeds so much easier with its opening side panel. Baby always looked so cosy and I felt much more relaxed being able to see the rise and fall of his little chest from the comfort of my own pillow.
The Bednest is also so mobile so was great to take to the Grandparents house for sleepovers. If we have any more children we will be using a Bednest again.
The hire process was really quick and easy. It is a little expensive in comparison to the cost of some other co sleepers but I think it is a quality product that can fit in with any room. Thanks Natiesh

I loved the Bednest! I borrowed one from my cousin for my first baby and then we were having our second babies at the same time the so the rental option was just brilliant! It really is fantastic value for money as you can invest in a high quality piece of kit that you do really only need for 6 or 7 months at most. I loved having my boys so close at night, its lovely being able just to reach over to pick them up to feed them at night (how wonderful not to even have to get out of bed for those night time feeds - especially as both my boys were born in winter!) It is the only piece of baby equipment that I recommend to all my preggie friends!Jenny

I'm happy for my comments to be used. I found it very straight forward to order the bednest and you were very flexible in getting it delivered to us when our baby arrived 4 weeks early. The returns process was also easy and the chap that collected it was very pleasant.
The bednest itself has been brilliant, it definitely helped with the frequent night feeding/waking. We then used it within the main cot to help her get used to her new room and it worked really well. The instructions were straight forward and it was easy to take with us on a couple of trips away. Definitely one of our best buys (well, rental!) so far! Thanks Katie

I absolutely loved my bednest it is fantastic product and I really believe it gave my baby the comfort he needed to sleep that a Moses Basket just can't (in fact we also had a Moses basket and he hated it). It was easy to put up and adjust and I particularly liked the fact that you can put it at a slight angle which really helped with my babies reflux. I also liked the fact that he was just next to me so no need to get out of bed to see to him when he needed me. I Can't recommend it enough I just wish this was about when I'd had my little girl and perhaps we might have got some sleep!

I would throughly recommend the bednest to any new parent. I hired it for my 2nd child as didn't need to keep to hand down and we were on a tight budget.
It has been a real lifesaver and I can honestly say I have not felt so tired out with the new baby due to the fact I could just roll over and comfort/feed baby without leaving my bed. I've slept better and my son has loved holding my hand for comfort.
Also ment all 4 of us could squeeze in for bedtime stories ??

I wanted to let you know that my whole experience of using Bednest was very positive. The product was good and did exactly what was advertised. I was particularly impressed with how clean it all was. However I think what really sets you apart is the fantastic service that you offer. All my emails were responded to really quickly and there were no problems at all when I needed the bednest 6 weeks earlier than planned. I'd like to thank you for this excellent support, it made everything so much easier. We will definitely use Bednest again if we're brave enough to have any more! Thanks Alyse

I just loved the bednest rental scheme. It was so lovely having the baby right next to me every night for her first few months. I could quickly check that she was breathing :) and soundly asleep. And having her next to me made the night time feeds so much easier. The cot is so easy to set up and use and the return couldn't have been more straightforward. I thought it was very handy being able to rent the cot rather than having to store something we only used for a few months until hopefully another baby comes along.
Thank you, Bridget

I have recommended using Bednest to friends. For me it gave peace of mind as my baby was right next to me so I could check on her through the first few weeks. When you are feeding through the night in the early days it was so good being able to pick them up without getting out of bed!
We also took the bednest with us when we visited family as it's so easy to transport. I would definitely rent a bednest again. Renting was really easy and straightforward. Everyone I spoke to or emailed was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. It made sense for us to rent, it is
good value for money and it means there is one less thing to put in the loft! When you rent you get clear instructions on how to assemble the bednest and there is a call centre which can answer any questions you have. Many thanks for all your help.

Glad to hear the Bednest arrived back safely, although we were really sorry to see it go. It is a fantastic product that has provided us with all the benefits of co-sleeping whilst ensuring that our daughter had a safe place to sleep both at home and when visiting relatives. The rental scheme was ideal as it gave us a simple, convenient and affordable way of dealing with one of the major items needed for our new arrival. I have already recommended the Bednest rental scheme to friends and relatives who are expecting a baby and will continue to do so in the future.

Great design visually and mechanically, great ergonomic fold down and fastening mechanisms that I enjoyed and valued each time I used them. I perfected folding the side up and down with little noise. Easy to fold down and take away in the car, even used the top section camping in the bell tent. Wish you did a larger version to move onto. All in all a great product and great service from the company. Many thanks for helping care for our Son.
August 5th 2015
The Bednest has been a godsend! We've loved having our little girl in it - it made feeding so much easier especially at night. It was lovely having her so close and she was so comfy and snug in it that she's been sleeping through the night from 14 weeks. I felt very emotional sending it back and a further rental will be top of our list for another baby!
August 5th 2015
Thanks for your e-mail, may I firstly say what a wonderful concept the bednest is, I know that they have similar products on the continent but I didn’t realise how good it would be. It was perfect for us and Harry. The service that we received from you was excellent as well.
August 5th 2015
Very happy to leave feedback which I don't normally do.
It has been an excellent service with fantastic support. Absolutely loved the bednest. So much easier, practical and more enjoyable than a Moses basket which I had with my first. Just sad to return it, now my 6 month old grew out of it. If I had another child (which I'm not!), would definitely
come back to you again.

"We didn't have a bednest first time around but after hearing so many positive reviews decided to try it for our second. It was a life-saver and back saver! I definitely feel that it made the early months so much more bearable and feeding much easier. The rental scheme was ideal and excellent value - we even got an extra month for free which was invaluable as it gave a bit more time before we transitioned to a big cot. Returning the bednest was really easy and the customer care was great. I've recommended the bednest to all my friends."
July 22nd 2015
I'm glad you have received the Bednest, but we are so sad to see it go. It was absolutely brilliant with our son, there was nothing better than waking up to his smiling face next to me every morning. Feeding him during the night was so easy as he was so close by, this made such a difference to my quality of sleep. I wish I had come across this when I had my first son - it's truly life changing.
I have recommended it to lots of friends as I really believe it makes those first few months of parenthood even more incredible. Sophie
July 19th 2015
the Bednest was very helpful, it helped us to transition our little one into his cot in a gradual way. We found sleeping next to him in the Bednest a very special time when he was so small. The rental scheme is a brilliant way to obtain the crib without spending a fortune on additional cribs. We would definitely recommend and use again if the time came. The staff have been helpful replying to any questions quickly and making the experience easy. The Bednest is a must in a new baby's life and should be on the list of things to obtain when you are preparing for a new baby.
July 19th 2015
I really loved having a bednest for my baby, it meant I could have her close by and I didn't have to bend down constantly to pick her up, very useful after an unexpected c-section! I found the bednest much more useful than a Moses basket as I could drop the sides and she was able to stay in it up until 6 months, when other friend's babies had outgrown a Moses basket. I really appreciated NCT allowing me to keep the bednest for and extra month. This took an awful lot of pressure off having to rush to move my baby into her own room by the time she was 6 months.
July 17th 2015
I'd like to say that it was wonderful to have the bednest at home. My babyboy slept in it from the moment we came home until he was four months and a half. I didn't breastfeed, but it was still so comfortable to have him right next to me, so i didn't have to worry a second at night. I could see him whenever i woke up, without the hassle of getting up. I found it also very practical that you could tilt the bed. He had some trouble with acid reflux, and it helped a lot. I was sad when i needed him to sleep alone and had to put the bednest away. He and i enjoyed it very much. If we are lucky enough to have a second child in the future, i will definitely order the bednest again. Also because of the easy delivery and returning and we don't have to think about selling or storing the bed afterwards.
Thank you very much for the transparent communication. Your service could be an example for other online services.Have a wonderful day!Kind regards, Els
July 16th 2015
I had a very good experience with the bednest and was quite sad to return it! It is a fantastic solution to breastfeeding on demand without the need to get out of bed- especially when baby is born in winter. The bednest arrived very well packed and on time. The instructions were easy for set-up. I would highly recommend the use of the bednest. If you follow the instructions, it is a safe, reassuring way to keep your little one at an arm's reach.Marilyn
July 14th 2015
I have to say the Bednest rental scheme is fantastic. We got 7 full months' use out of the Bednest but after that, he had outgrown it and was ready for a cot in his own room. We would never have had that much use out of a smaller Moses basket and the condition of the rented Bednest was immaculate.
Also, delivery and collection was smooth and stress free. Thank you very much.
July 10th 2015
We had an absolutely marvellous experience with the Bednest crib and the Besnest service. It was recommended by friends and it lived up to our high expectations! It meant taking care of our little one at night was so much easier! Wishing you all the best, Ruth

'We have been delighted with our Bednest which we have used for the first 6 months of our daughters life. The design is robust, intuitive and flexible and has made night feeds extremely convenient for the whole family. The rental scheme is absolutely perfect, reasonably priced and means we are not left with another bulky piece of baby equipment that is gathering dust in the house or loft. We would recommend the Bednest to anyone.'
July 8th 2015
Since the first day we got our bednest I knew it was perfect to welcome our little baby.
He can sleep close to me, I can check or feed him all night without get up from my bed.
I couldn't recommend it more, it is the perfect bed for a newborn, and for a new mum.
We also rented an other bednest for our house in Italy, so my little baby can sleep in the same bed also in an other house, and he slept really well also there. Best regards, Camilla.
July 8th 2015
I think the product is excellent, it is small enough to negate the need for a Moses basket but big enough to last until approximately 6 months old.
The tilting was invaluable as my daughter suffers from terrible reflux, as were the washable sides!
It is easy to transport, fold and was light. We were generally extremely happy with it. The service was great, all communications with Bednest were totally unstressful and the returns process was simple and quick. I'd highly recommend it. Thanks, Nicki

Hiring the Bednest Crib was one of the best decisions we've made for our second daughter. We only wish we'd known about them for our first!
From the first night she settled in and slept quite soundly with the nest snuggled up to our fixed futon bed. This was in marked contrast to her older sister who was a difficult sleeper in her traditional fixed side cot.
My wife expressed her relief at the ease (compared to a standard cot) it was to get our daughter into and out of the nest for feeding and its compact size (and rounded corners) made movement around our bedroom a lot easier.
I've always been wary of co-sleeping but to see my daughter sleeping safely and soundly next to her mother was a joy and a comfort.
We're just sorry that they don't make them bigger as our 7 month old daughter has just grown out of it and would be in on her first birthday if she could!
Hiring made a lot of sense to us and was great value for money as we do not intend to have any more children and our previous cot was borrowed so a big outlay on a new cot didn't make sense. Kerry and the team at Bednest made the hire and return very easy and really bent our backwards to ensure we had everything we needed. I cannot recommend them or the Bednest Crib highly enough. The bed nest has been amazing. I couldn't fault it. It was so much more practical than a moses basket and even helped me with breastfeeding. I would highly recommend it to all new mums. Sarah

We absolutely loved the bednest and next time we would use it instead of getting a Moses basket .
Lawrie slept really well from the minute we put him in it and I loved having him really close by. I recommend it to all my friends. The service from your company was also very good. Thank you. Debbie

The Bednest was absolutely brilliant and so easy to set up. As a first tim mum, it really put my mind at ease, knowing that my baby was right next to me - easy for me to reach over and pick him up or check that he was breathing! :)
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to family and friends and wil definitely use it next time round if we are lucky enough to have another baby! Kind regards Nicky

A few words why I choose the bed nest....
After using a Moses basket for our first child, she ended up co sleeping with me full time whilst I exclusively breast fed. second time round the bednest seemed the perfect solution for safe sleeping and easy breast feeding. Plus a good price of renting! Whilst nearly 3 year old still gets into my bed every night, our 6 month old baby, has now transferred easily from the bednest into her own room and cot. Thanks again, Alex
22nd June 2015
My feedback is only positive both in terms of the product (BedNest) and the service you provided. If I have another baby, I will definitely come back! I have recommended you to my friends and i know that one used your service as well. Best regards, Ausra

The Bednest was undoubtedly the best piece of baby kit we got by miles. The rental scheme was really easy - I was really pleased you were able to deliver it a week early at short notice when I felt I was going to deliver earlier than my due date. You also kindly gave us a free month at the end.
The drop off and pick up by the courier was easy. The Bednest itself was great quality and my baby slept easily in it. I treasured being able to sleep next to him in his own safe bed but with me being right at his side and at his level. It made night feeds as easy (as they can be) and it was much easier to transfer him back to the Bednest than it had been with our first baby for whom we had a Moses basket. As a direct result I got much more sleep as he didn't keep on waking up. We loved it. Thank you! Amy

Bednest- the best thing under the sun!
We rented the bednest for our second child, our first child used a regular moses basket which we hated- you can't see your child, you can't hold their hand when in bed and the child grows out of it pretty quickly. You won't get these issues with the bednest. You really feel like your baby is in bed with you but at the same time they have their own space and are safe. You can
bring the baby to you any time, you see your baby all the time, you can cuddle the baby while in your own bed yet knowing you won't squash them.
I would recommend it to anyone. The bednest adjusts to the height of your own bed
and it also tilts. It's absolutely perfect!
Also, worth mentioning is the communication with the staff of bednest.com was very good-they always replied to my emails ASAP and were very helpful.
18th June 2015
We absolutely loved the Bednest. I felt secure that my baby was safe, in his own space, but close enough to touch and resettle without lifting out of the crib. It was especially important following Oliver's birth, as I had a planned c-section. I would have struggled to get out of bed to feed him throughout the night. I was able to just slide him into bed next to me and then put him back once he had fed. Renting the Bednest made it an affordable option. I would highly recommend the Bednest.

I just wanted to say how amazing the Bednest has been - I wish I had had one with my first child. I am soooo sad to return it as it was lovely to have my baby close to hand and to see her smiling face next to me first thing in the morning. Whoever invented this is a genius who knows what parents need/want. I have really enjoyed using it and I know my baby has too. Also the rental scheme is brilliant and excellent value for money. Thank you so much.
2nd June 2015
The bed nest was fantastic. Quick delivery and so easy to assemble. I felt
very comfortable and relaxed having my baby so close to me. It was fab to
have it for an extra month free of charge to make sure Rhys was able to have
a smooth transition into his own room. Sending it back was so easy and
uncomplicated! Thank you for such a great service. I will definitely be
recommending you. Thanks
2nd June 2015
I have to say I'm not glad that the bednest has made it back safely to your
warehouse as I'd much rather we were still using it. I've loved it everyday
of the 7 months we used it; I only wish it was bigger so I could continue to
I loved seeing and hearing my daughter next to me all night, was a great
comfort knowing that I could drift off into a deep sleep without fear of
rolling onto her yet be close enough to comfort her, or just reach over and
hold her hand whenever I needed (or wanted to.)
I didn't use bednest with my son as I wasn't aware of them, my family is
complete now so will not be needing it again but if I was to I wouldn't
hesitate. I have also recommended them to friends and family.
1st June 2015
We found the bednest a great asset. Our baby settled much better in there as opposed to the moses basket we tried her in at first.
A really good idea to be able to rent them as well.
30th May 2015
Thankyou. I would thoroughly recommend the bednest; even though I was only
able to breastfeed for a short time (and thus didn't need the closeness for
feeding), I still found having the crib and my daughter so close to me
really reassuring, and meant I could easily settle her without getting out
of bed! It is longer than a standard Moses basket so it lasted for more time
as my daughter is quite tall. Finally, the fact that it could be tilted was
a huge help with our daughters reflux! Great product and excellent customer
27th May 2015
Couldn't be happier with our experience with "our" bednest. It really did
feel like ours, I can assume it was used before as we rented it but there
really was no sign that my baby was anything but the first to lay his
precious head in it!
We really enjoyed spending our time "together" for those first months. We
found it so easy to nurse during the night as neither one of us had to
really disturb our sleep. It certainly helped keep up our breast feeding
I really couldn't recommend it anymore, not only does it answer the
sleeping/nursing issues at night time but it looks great too.
Thank you very much indeed

More than happy for you to use any comments in marketing. It has been great being able to have our little boy next to us at night and the adjustable height made this perfect. Also really helpful that we could adjust the bednest to give a slight tilt as this helped ease reflux when he would have been uncomfortable sleeping flat.
We have also been really impressed by the quality of customer service - getting assistance was really easy when we needed it, every response has been quick & helpful and the team at bednest have exceeded our expectations.
26th May 2015
The Bednest was absolutely fantastic, I would recommend it to anyone. Being able to rent it was perfect, because he'd outgrown it by six months so we didn't need it any more, and it stopped us from having unnecessary clutter in the house. Also, renting meant that we could have a much nicer crib than we could have afforded had we tried to buy. The bed was just perfect for our son; it was so useful having him right next to me when he was really little, i just needed to put the side down and put my hand on him to help him off to sleep. The tilt feature was also really handy when he had a cold. On a different note, I was really impressed with the helpfulness of the Bednest team. Our son was 6 weeks premature, so we needed the Bednest far earlier than expected! I phoned up the team in a panic, and the Bednest arrived literally the next day. It was so helpful during what was naturally a bit of a stressful time - one less thing to worry about!
Please feel free to use any of these comments, I really appreciate everything you've done for our family.

I was enormously pleased with the bednest, it worked perfectly for Elba and I. It made settling her in the night very easy indeed, as I could reach out and comfort her without climbing out of bed, but also could sleep soundly knowing that she was safe in her nest and in no danger of ending up under my duvet. I was also really pleased with the service, it was so easy to return the bednest and great to have it delivered to your door. Couldn't have been better :-)
21st May 2015
Let me just say I almost cried when it was time to return the crib! I was really happy with it because I had my baby girl right next to me, while perfectly safe in her own space. The size was perfect for a newborn and for a bedroom with limited space. Very easy to setup and beautiful design.
The delivery to Italy was perfect and easy, as well as the collection method. I am recommending it to all the new mums I meet!
I authorise you to use my statement. Thanks a lot!

We absolutely loved the bednest, it was the best decision we ever made as Bella settled so well into it straight away, much better than in her moses basket. It was really good for me too as I'd had a cesarean, and it made lifting her in out of bed so much easier, plus it was so lovely having her close to me at night. We also took the bednest on holiday with us - it was easy to transport and also meant Bella had a familiar bed when away from home. I would definitely recommend the bednest to everyone!
21st May 2015
The bed nest was brilliant ! I established that my second child,
belle , had no intention of sleeping in a Moses basket by day 4 and found
myself sleeping with her on my chest. I say sleeping but I was so worried
about rolling on her that I was awake pretty much all night . I then tried a
crib with the same level of success and so turned to the Internet for ideas
! I found the bednest after reading an article in which Jamie Oliver
mentioned them and knowing that within 6 months my daughter was likely to
move into a full sized cot rental seemed like a brilliant idea .
It took two nights for my daughter to settle in the bednest and if she did
stir after that I was able to reach and hold her without bringing her into
my bed. I had planned to do the same with breast feeding but I didn't need
to as at the same time she started sleeping through! My son, now 5 still
doesn't sleep through so this was somewhat of an epiphany and while I'm sure
her character has a lot to do with it (she's incredibly laid back) I also
think the bednest played its part. I've recommended it to lots of new
mums... It really was money well spent . Awesome infact !
21st May 2015
Absolutely loved the bednest!
Such a god send as I had a C-Section and wasn't as mobile as I would of
liked to be. I loved having her next to me, she slept so good from day 1!
Because I was calm and happy , I think she picked up on that!
It was easy to just hold her hand or pop dummy back in without having to get
up at all!!
We took it to relatives houses and she slept well in different surrounding
due to the bed being so familiar!
Baby is now confident and sleeps solid 10 hours in her own room... I think
we have bednest to thank for that.
I would use the bednest again in a heart beat and have recommended to family
and friends despite the recent bad press , if used in line with instructions
it is a god send! Jade

We really enjoyed using the Bednest. So much easier than using a Moses
basket. You can respond to your baby in an instant for feeding and soothing
throughout the night without leaving the sanctuary of your own bed. The
Bednest size was perfect, I found that my 1st child outgrew her Moses basket
within 8 weeks, I used the Bednest for 6 months. The bed itself looked great
and was really practical when taking away on holiday up north and the
tilting feature was great when my little one had the cold or a sore tummy.
I would definitely recommend the Bednest to all my friends.
20th May 2015
I thouroughly enjoyed using the bednest. I felt that it allowed me the benefits of co-sleeping but in a safe way. I loved having my baby close and could fall asleep holding her hand!
I found the rental service excellent! Such an easy way to get the bednest and because we rented I now don't have to worry about finding storage space! Will definitely be renting one again when I decide to have number 2!
Thanks so much.

We were really pleased with the Bednest and it's made
a huge difference to us particularly at the times when our son was wanting
to feed a lot during the night. It was great to be able to hire it rather
than buy. We took it with us when we went away for two weeks which was
really handy rather than taking a travel cot that our baby wouldn't have
been used to sleeping in. Being able to tilt the bednest was very helpful
when our son had reflux and also when he had colds. I would definitely
recommend it to our new parents. Well worth the cost.
19th May 2015
I loved using the bednest, it made night feeds so easy and meant that I
could settle her without getting up! She also had reflux so being able to
tip it helped her to sleep easier. The rental scheme was very easy to use
and was great for us as we were in the process of extending so didn't want
to commit to buying her furniture straight away.
I have recommended it to others and will definitely use the scheme again.
April 29th 2015
I was extremely happy with the bednest. I wanted to rent one for my first baby but I already had a Moses basket which I never liked using as it didn't feel safe and solid and it wasn't at the right level and big enough to use passed 4months old.
For my second baby I decided to use it as my toddler was sleeping next to me most days and I wanted the new baby to be next to me without being unsafe with everyone else in bed. It was just perfect. I could adjust it to the exact hight of our bed and even tilt it slightly with the head higher when my baby had a blocked nose. I felt that My baby was safe in it because the design and quality of the bed was immaculate. Also it was a perfect transition from being next to me but at a safe distance so that I could fall asleep with a peace of mind.....
Also your customer service was absolutely impeccable and I felt looked after individually. It didn't add any stress to the already stressful life with a toddler and a baby.
Thank you so much
I can highly recommend the bed nest
April 13th 2015
I absolutely loved the bednest. It's a 100% high quality product. I can't describe how many beautiful moments of tenderness I spent with my baby at night in the bednest. The rental scheme is far the best service I received in years. You guys are the best!
April 2nd 2015
The bednest was absolutely fantastic for me and my son. As a breastfeeding mum it made nighttime feeds super easy. I could also hold his hand or place my hand on his chest to reassure him. As he's my second child it meant I could have my toddler on one side if she had a bad night and him in the nest on the other and know that he was completely safe. The hire scheme is such an enabler too, making something quite expensive far more affordable. It was a really simple process to get and return it too. Thanks so much for running this great service.
April 2nd 2015
Can't thank you enough for being so accommodating and letting me keep the bednest for another month. You all have been totally brilliant and so understanding. The courier (UPS) is scheduled for collection tomorrow so it should be back with you soon.
I want to say that the bed and your customer service has been second to none. I tell everyone I can about your product and services... I pounced on a lady in John Lewis to tell her how fab it was (the sales assistant helping the lady was laughing so much at my enthusiasm!).
Again, can't thank you again for the extra time you gave me. It really did make all the difference for me, adding to my confidence in transferring her to a big cot, and my daughter getting used to not having me right next to her all the time.
Wishing you all a fabulous Easter. Kind regards (& big hug), Ema x

I would be delighted to give feedback.
Firstly the Bednest Customer Service is exceptional - from start to finish of the process the team were helpful and incredibly accommodating.
The product arrived securely packaged and was easy to assemble and
disassemble. The cot was great for remaining close to my baby after an emergency c-setion and helped me to breastfeeding in spite of my mobility being compromised.
Our baby slept through the night from 8 weeks and I put part of the credit down to the Bednest, if she was staying away from home we would take the Bednest with us as it was so easy to transport and our baby would settle in another home for the night.
Thank you so much, I cannot recommend Bednest enough!!
April 1st 2015
I just wanted to say what a marvelous item the Bednest has been. For my first child (now 3 years old) I purchased the Bednest at full price and I was so impressed with the design, quality and functionality of it. I crazily sold the Bednest once my son had outgrown it but I was overjoyed to see I could rent a Bednest for my second son.
I wanted to commend you on a very convenient, quick and flexible service. I needed to be induced earlier than my expected due date and you were quickly able to resolve my issues and send the Bednest earlier than planned. Thank you for making the whole process stress free. Kind regards Sarah

I found the whole experience fantastic! The product was invaluable, your service impeccable and the whole experience a pleasure. The highlights were the reminder emails at the end of the rental period, the one month extension, the ups collection.

The Bednest was fantastic for us, it is just perfect for the purpose it is built for. It is also the tallest of the available options, which fit our rather tall bed nicely. My wife was in tears when we had to finally send it back to you. Best regards,

The bed nest was an absolute god send and I can't recommend it enough, my son hated sleeping in his Moses basket and I was at a loss in the first few months until I came across the bed nest during one of my many desperate google searches looking for an alternative to the Moses basket. The rental scheme is excellent as having a baby is an expensive business and the bed nest is only suitable for first six months. After all the mattress is brand new so I didn't see renting it as a problem. I did recommend it to friends and my health visitor was also impressed by it. Ordering it was easy and it was delivered with swiftness. Assembly was very easy as it pretty much comes already assembled. It's beautifully designed and easy to move around. I only wish It could be used for longer. Please feel free to use my comments.
Many thanks again for everything.

I would say that I have received excellent customer service from Bednest who have been easy to be in touch with and replied quickly. If we have another baby I will skip the Moses basket -which my son never slept in- and hire a Bednest straight away, we found it made the nighttime far less difficult and stressful. It was easy to use, adjusted a lot (our son has reflux and we could angle it for that). I would definitely recommend it and intend to use it again. I loved the fact that you could hire it rather than buy it and store it.
Thank you very much,

I would not hesitate for one second to recommend the Bednest to anyone. In fact I have!!
Truly a godsend. Excellent quality. Amazing customer service.
The only thing we found was that little Mia loved it so much she didn't want to sleep in anything else!! However thanks to the great customer service we received by way of a free months extension on our rental, we managed to ween her into her nursery very comfortably.
I will definitely be renting one again for our second

I would highly recommend for many reasons. Co sleeping is a lovely thing to do and so nice to sleep with peace of mind of yout baby gently breathing next to you. You dont have to get out of bed and sleep more as a result I think! We choose the bednest this time over a different co sleeper that we had last time as we liked the fact that it attached so securely to the bed and could be tilted up (as we had another reflux baby!). Also liked the fact we could hire it and not other thing for the attic!

My husband and I thought it was fantastic. Our son slept so well in it and it even looks stylish. The service was topnotch so I cannot think of any suggestions for improvements. And I'm a marketing director so I'd definitely share customer feedback. We originally purchased a Snuggle moses basket but our baby really didn't like it so we looked for other options when he was 3 weeks. So my only regret is not having known about it earlier. We've told our NCT teacher that she should recommend this product as its so confusing when you do your research as parents to be.
So I would just like to thank you and the team for helping us with such a great product and service. It made a huge difference to us all as our son just slept so much better from the first night we had it set up.

I would like to thank you for your prompt and helpful customer service, it was so easy to order and delivery was prompt, likewise returning the product was easy and I found the re packing guide really helpful and user friendly.
I also just want to say that the product is fantastic and really changed
things for us after we decided to rent it when our daughter was around 7 weeks old.
I had looked into the Bednest whilst I was pregnant but the purchase price put me off as with all the other essentials we had to buy we couldn't afford the outlay and ended up borrowing a friends Moses basket. I wasn't aware of the rental scheme until after baby arrived.
Our daughter did sleep in her Moses basket but of course she was up all the time with feeding in those early weeks. She also developed what we thought at the time was colic from around two weeks of age and so did not sleep much at night. Unfortunately her health took a turn for the worse when she was 5 weeks old after a second bout of serious sickness she was admitted to hospital and diagnosed with gall bladder and bile duct blockages which were causing her to lose weight as she could not produce bile to process and absorb the fat in her milk, she was also in considerable pain throughout the day and night as her gall bladder tried but failed to pump out bile for her.
After a torrid few days consulting with specialists in Birmingham, she was prescribed a medicine to try to break down the blockages. Thankfully things started to change over the course of the next couple of months and she began to thrive again and is now a bouncing healthy baby girl.
But when she was discharged from hospital she wouldn't sleep anywhere but on me and whilst I did not mind this, it meant my poor husband was in the spare room and I wasn't getting much sleep between feeding and her bouts of pain and crying. So I needed to find a solution for us and that's when I found out more about co-sleeping and in revisiting the Bednest I discovered the rental package and we didn't hesitate to order!
It changed everything for us. She was able to feed in bed and be transferred to the Bednest with much less disruption and for both me and her. It was great because she was so close I could easily check on her, soothe her and was so reassured with her being just by my side. I also suffer with back problems so not having to lift her and bend so much to put her down with the Bednest being the same height as our bed was brilliant. The features of the product are excellent and far superior to any other co sleepers I have seen on the market; the adjustable height, flat pack travel option, washable sides, see through mesh, tilt which helps with colic and colds, and not forgetting the stylish appearance and excellent build quality all made the
Bednest the perfect option for us.
It was also great to have the different add on's with the rental package, we added the travel bag and this was great when we went on holiday or anywhere else to stay, the fact it packed down flat was excellent.
Overall we loved everything about it, it really helped us at a very
difficult time when our daughter was poorly and I was honestly so sad when it came to the time that she outgrew it and we had to send it back.
I would love the designers to consider making a next stage co-sleeper for older babies as I am still feeding my daughter (now 8 months) at night. We are lucky in that her cot bed fits in our room but I would love to have a co-sleeper that would allow me to feed more easily at night and have her close by.
It has been a brilliant product and I have recommended it to all my friends and wouldn't hesitate to rent again should we have more children in the future. It's a great, flexible option which is good value for money.
Thanks again to everyone at Bednest and I hope you might consider a next stage co-sleeper. I, for one would order one right away.

Thanks - great service from beginning to end. My only regret is that I did
not know of this product or your service back in 2009 when I had my first
child and have only discovered this with my third. Perfect product I love
having my baby next to me for the first six months (to be honest I would do
a year if I could get away with it!) it gives mother and baby the
reassurance of being right next to each other/seeing each other but the
safety of a separate sleeping space - so removing the worry of co sleeping.
I miss it now it's gone!

We have just had our bednest delivered and just wanted to say how happy with it we are! It is excellent quality and the customer service has been excellent - would like to say a special thanks to Mark and Diana for arranging early deliver as our little one is being delivered early and also being super prompt at replying to a few questions I had. Many thanks and keep up the good work! Zoe

We thought the Bednest was excellent. The crib is perfectly designed, look lovely and was very comfortable for the baby. Our daughter slept beside our bed until she was five and a half months old. We would definitely recommend it to other expectant parents. Our interest stemmed from a friend who had used Bednest and recommended it. We also thought the service from Bednest was first class from start to finish and everything was very simple and straightforward. Thanks. Lucy

Hi There I just wanted to say how much I love my bednest. I live in a small town in Ontario, Canada and bought it just before my daughter was born. She is now 6 months and I am dreading not being able to use it. It has been an absolute dream. I used the arm's reach co sleeper for my first two children and although I was happy with it, my love for the bed nest far surpasses how I felt about the co sleeper. I only wish you made a larger size one that I could keep my babe in until she was a year. I have three kids ranging from 12 to 6 months and in the 12 years, your product is hands down my best purchase. Thanks From Robyn, Ontario, Canada.

My baby suffered with terrible reflux from day 1 and would not sleep in her Moses basket no matter what I did. She only slept upright on us or in her chair, even then she seemed uncomfortable. I saw the bednest online and thought I'd give it a try. It is expensive, but renting it for 6 months was much more affordable. It was easy to put together and the option of tilting it meant that baby could be much more comfortable lying down, this was especially useful after night feeds. It meant that I could go to bed instead of sleeping on the sofa and it wasn't long before baby started sleeping happily in it, which made a huge difference to us all. I think that because she was so close to me and we could see each other, we both found that reassuring.
The bednest was a godsend for us and I'll definitely rent again if we have another.
October 20th 2014
The service that we have received has been excellent. Initial delivery of the bednest was really quick which was excellent as we only ordered after our baby was born. As our little boy was suffering from reflux we wanted a safe way for him to sleep in a slightly elevated position and the bednest provided that for us. Returning the bednest once he was big enough for his cot was simple and a very efficient service. I would highly recommend the rental scheme and will definitely use it for any future children we have.
September 9th 2014
thanks for renting out the bednest! It was fantastic - we didn't know about it for our first child
(I wish we had) but a friend recommended it when I was pregnant with our
second. I had a c section both times and the bednest made a huge difference
in not have to get out of bed to pick up my baby every time I had to nurse
her. She was so content sleeping next to me for the first 6 months - and
slept so much better than my first baby - as the bednest was both snug and
airy and she could hold my hand when she needed comforting without my even
having to move or wake up. It's the perfect solution for those who want to
be close to their babies but don't want to co-sleep providing a great
balance between closeness and autonomy for you and the baby.
The rental was a total godsend as this was our second and last baby we
wouldn't have wanted to buy a new crib, but the rental price was extremely
good value for 6 months of very nice nights - a bargain (esp including
delivery and collection) - we would have paid more!
September 8th 2014
We found the bednest absolutely brilliant for our daughter. We had all the
benefits of co-sleeping, without the anxiety of having a child in our bed
and did not have any problems transitioning her from the bednest to her
larger cot and into her own room at 6 months. I would definitely recommend
this to others and will be using the bednest again for our next child.
As regards the customer service and ease of ordering and returning the
bednest it has been thoroughly excellent and I can't say thank you enough.
Of course you may use my comments on the website.

I wish I had the bed nest for my first baby!!! It has made life so much
easier because let's face it, life can be hard when faced with lack of
sleep. I am not one of the lucky few who's baby sleeps through the night,
but the bed nest has made those night feeds so much easier. I have found
that breast feeding has been so easy because as soon as I hear her fussing I
just reach into the crib and lift her onto me without even getting out of
bed. She feeds, falls back to sleep, and I place her back in the crib. I
then fall back to sleep easily due to very little disruption, and my partner
often sleeps through it all. It is very rare for her to actually cry at
night. I leave the crib side half up all night but that's just my
preference, and I feel that she is so settled because we are so close to
each other. It is lovely to be able to see her and reach in to lay a hand
on her if she needs comfort. She has fit in the bed nest for 6 1/2 months
and I am sorry to see it go. I purchased the travel bag and took it on
holiday to Cyprus. We didn't have to pay extra baggage allowance and they
put it through as fragile at no extra cost. It was brilliant because she had
the comfort and usual surroundings of her own crib rather than having to
adjust to an uncomfortable travel cot! It is a god send if you have been
through a traumatic birth. The hire service is convenient, with easy to
follow assembly and re-packing instructions. Overall a fantastic product.
Don't waist your money on a Moses basket.

We indeed enjoyed the bednest, it was a real life saver! Made night feeding much easier, and was very reassuring sleeping right next to my baby, being able to check her just opening my eyes in the middle of the night. Made co-sleeping very safe without really co-sleeping.
I recommended bednest to all of my friends and to every single new Mum I have met. If I'll have another baby, for sure we will use bednest again!
Not mentioning the service we received. Delivered to our door, picked up from our door.
I booked bednest after my baby was born, and after I realised I need to have her as nearest as possible to me, and we received the bednest within no time.
We took it with us for our trips to grandparents,or for vacations so she that could sleep in her own bed.We even took it with us camping which was just the best thing, as it has fit in our 3 persons tent, and kept her safe and warm at nights.
I am a very happy and satisfied customer! Mariann

Fantastic. Just wish we'd had one for baby #1. Amazing value and customer
service. Couldn't have hoped for more. Sleepless nights were infinitely
easier to cope with, with baby at arms length all night. Co-sleeping without
bed-sharing - Perfect!
I used a bednest for my twins it was the only way they would settle (Co sleeping near us) I found the bednest a brilliant aid when breastfeeding my twins too xx

Our first baby was born in February and from day one would not sleep in his
moses basket. He slept in our bed for the first few weeks but I was
extremely nervous about this and we got hardly any sleep as it was
uncomfortable and I was constantly worried. After some research I discovered
the bednest. I decided to rent the bednest as I didn't want to buy in case
he didn't take to it (like the moses basket). Firstly I was really impressed
with the quick delivery which I think was either 1 or 2 days. The bednest
was REALLY easy to assemble, both my husband and I commented on how well
designed the it was. It also fit perfectly to the height of our bed (which I
thought is quite high!). Our baby took to it on the first night - which was
such a relief! It was so nice to have my bed back but to also have him next
to me which made it so easy for feeding through the night. The rental of the
bednest has seriously been the best money we have spent. Being a first time
mum, those first few weeks/months are really tough and the bednest meant I
could get some precious sleep.
Our baby was ready to move to his own room around 4-5 months. Returning the
bednest was really easy, just a quick phonecall and it was collected.
I cannot recommend this enough - the produce and service absolutely

We are very pleased with your product! Thank you very much for making it available to US residents. There are not any comparable products on the market and the only real co-sleeper is arms reach. It does not compare, I did not want my baby sleeping in that plastic, poorly made product. We did buy and return it because we thought it was our only option but the product was so horrible, difficult to use and not flexible, we had to return it. I am so thankful for bednest! The product conveniently covers every single thing a parent could need and really is as easy to use as it looks in the video, easier even.
The packaging was also great and the product arrived on time. Thank you again for making this wonderful product and for making it available to us in the US. The only thing I wish is,that it didnt take so much searching on,the internet for me to find it. Im just happy I finally found it. Everyone I spoke to said the product I want doesnt exist but it does! I only recommend making it more widely searchable to US residents.

"The whole bednest scheme is amazing and made things very easy for us! I have
already recommended you to 2 people.
It was genuinely a total god send for us and helped us get our daughter
into a routine and ultimately into her own room. She has reflux and wouldn't
sleep anywhere other than on my chest which was becoming difficult for me,
with the bednest we all managed to get a bit of sleep! We were able to raise
the head to help with the reflux which in turn helped to prevent her being
sick after night time feeds.
It was do easy to pack up and take with us when we went away too.
"I don't know where to start with describing what the Bednest has done for us as a family. It's utterly fantastic. Having my baby at 34 weeks meant we had to use a Moses basket until the Bednest was delivered. Having had a caesarean getting in and out of bed to tend to Sebastian was uncomfortable to say the least. A problem which would have been avoided with the Bednest. In my opinion it is the answer to "safe" co-sleeping. Particularly as he was exclusively breasted for the first 6 weeks, meaning that I didn't have to get out of bed to feed him. I also think it assists greatly with one of the Baby Friendly Initiative's (BFI) key steps to successful breast feeding; "rooming in". As I was so close to him during the night, I became really in tune with his feeding cues and I believe this went on to assist me in successfully breastfeeding a premature baby - not always an easy task due to under developed sucking reflex. Finally as a first time mother, having my son so close to me gave me such reassurance. The experience just wouldn't have been the same without it.
As a midwife, but I think more importantly now as a mother I would whole heartedly recommend this product to other mums. I think there are many unnecessary products out there for babies, but if parents were to spend money on one thing, this should be it. In fact I was wondering at the end of the "lease" for the Bednest, would there be an opportunity to buy it? I can't imagine not having it now for any future children we may have!"
19 June 2014
I LOVE the bednest and am more than happy to have my comments used, I loved it because I could be close to my baby at night, pretty much face to face if I wanted so I could sleep confident that he was safe close to me without any of the dangers of co-sleeping. I loved being able to hear him breathe could soothe him as soon as he stirred. The bednest made breastfeeding at night so easy as I just had to reach over and pick him up, I know my baby loved being close to me and we all slept better, the closeness was very important to me!
The rental is great because buying it would have been a bit too expensive, and if I had bought it I wouldn't have got more than £100 back selling it second hand which I would have to do to get back the space.
I'm a massive fan if you haven't guessed already! and I have reccommeded it to everyone that I have spoken to about babies and sleeping!
7 June 2014
I loved the bednest, it was truly excellent and I was sad to see it go. Renting it allowed me to use the system without investing in it long term - we have had our last baby and I wouldn't have wanted to buy something we wouldn't ever use again, and that would also take up loft space once finished with. The system is also incredibly easy to put together and repack to send back.
Best regards, Claire.
As soon as we found out about the Bednest we knew it was perfect for us,
providing us with the closeness and ease of co-sleeping without the worry.
After a week or so of struggling without it, we were itching for the door
bell to ring and it has been a godsend every since. Highly recommended to
all new parents, it has become our 'top tip' as the least painful way to
cope with those broken sleep patterns!

"I have completed your online survey, but just to add to that I was totally thrilled with the bednest I hired. I was able to keep my son sleeping in the same room as me up to 6 months, where I know a lot of other mothers reluctantly had to move their child in to another room earlier than they'd wanted, as they grew out of their moses basket so quickly and their cot was too larger to fit in their room. Having the bednest made it so easy to nurse my son during the night, allowing me to pick him up without getting out of bed. This disturbed my husband less and made it so quick and easy to pop my son back in the bednest when his feed was over.
When I have baby number 2 I will be renting the bednest again without a doubt!
I'm very happy for you to use my comments, as I'm a huge fan of your product."

"Hi bednest, my daughter has now sadly outgrown the bednest and we are in the process of arranging returning it :-( It has been top of the list of our baby best buys and the first thing we will purchase for baby number two! I had a difficult time after my daughter was born and having her next to me throughout the night was lovely and helped ease the transition into new parenthood. Someone once advised me that if you're going to spend money on your baby, spend it on things that keep your baby close..I loved this piece of advice and it definitely fits with the philosophy of bednest :-) thanks for creating such a wonderful product, we are so sad it's now been outgrown!" Katie.
We received this poem from a very happy Bednest family.
The Journey of Our Bednest
We were 4 months pregnant, When we went to the Baby Show,
Saw the Bednest demo, And thought we'd give it a go.
We're not flush, you see,So the 6 month rental we did,
It arrived in October, Waiting for our little kid.
Next to my side of the bed, It sat in it's place,
I couldn't imagine waking up, To your little face.
Then you arrived, And we took you home,
Asleep in your Bednest , But not alone.
With Mummy right beside you, The night feeds began,
So thankful for the Bednest, I'm such a fan.
But now 6 months has passed, The time is getting nearer,
To say goodbye to your Bednest, It's the end of an era.
Thanks again from,
Louisa - Mommy
Tom - Daddy
Lottie - Baby
Over 1000 parents have emailed us to say how much they have loved their Bednest.
Since 2009 we have supplied Bednests all over the world. This is a selection of over one hundred emails from Bednest users wishing to share their experience.
“We absolutely loved having the bednest. There is no better feeling than falling asleep holding your baby's hand :) Our daughter started sleeping through the night at 8 weeks and I'm sure that was partly due to the security that she felt from sleeping right next to us."
"Being able to sleep nose-to-nose with my baby - watch him as he slept and see his gummy grin of delight when he woke and saw me in the mornings - was one of my most precious moments of early motherhood”
“I loved how I could sooth my daughter just by placing my reassuring hand on her”
“I could see her through the mesh, just like she could see me!”
“It doesn't feel like you have woken up in the night when all you have to do is pop a dummy in or put a hand on her without even moving yourself and to be able to have eye to eye contact too I'm sure has all helped us have a gentle start.”
“By far the best thing that I ever purchased (or rented). It helped immensely in the early days of babyhood, I couldn't recommend it more. I only wish I'd got one for our first baby, it would have made life 100% easier."
“When the bednest arrived she slept soundly as she could see and smell me, and this in turn let me sleep. One of my fondest memories was a night she was holding onto my finger, staring at me intently whilst smiling before happily drifting off to sleep."
“I feel it has also contributed to my son's emotional welfare as he was always within arm's reach when he needed me."
“Unfortunately I had an emergency c-section, and the bednest was an absolute blessing. If I'd have had a Moses basket I'm just not sure I'd have been able to cope with the night feeds. Breastfeeding my son through the nights was made so much more easier by the fact I didn't have to get out of bed. My stitches were ever so sore and the bednest really aided my recovery. I'm 100% happy with the scheme and should I be lucky enough to have a 2nd child I'll be hiring again."
“I thought the bednest was genuinely the thing that helped me as a new mother the most out of all the baby products - and have been recommending it to all my pregnant friends. Being able to soothe the baby, feed the baby, check on the baby and cuddle the baby without getting up is not only comforting for both parents and baby but also much less tiring- especially in the first few weeks when night feeds are frequent and parents are nervous and want to check baby's breathing 10 times a night! I loved the fact we were at the same level but seperate- I think she's a much more secure baby for being able to open her eyes and see us right next to her."
Customer emails - October 2013 to January 2014.
I absolutely loved the crib! I used it for my third baby and only wish I had had it for the other two. I am a psychologist and value the importance of early attachment, this bed makes it so easy, taking the stress away from sleepless nights. I would highly recommend this product (Jan .14)
I chose the Bednest rental scheme because I was expecting my 3rd child, I planned to breastfeed & had to have a csection. I knew I needed a baby crib that had a fold down side & would fit any height bed. I also new I would not want to keep it longer than 6 months. The Bednest was perfect for my needs as it was able to fit right up to my bed and I could slide baby next to feed and slide him back when finished with no heavy lifting after the operation. It was attractive to look at too. The only downside is storing the box somewhere for 6 months. (Jan. 14)
I found it so much more relaxing in that baby never got to a full state of awake so getting her back off to sleep was easier. She was breastfed but I think even bottle fed babies should be close. Baby sleeps better listening to the rhythmic sounds of mommy and/or daddy. Renting the bednest was lovely. We didnt have to pay full price for something and then worry about what to do with it after you are finished with it! (Jan .14)
Bed nest was a god-send in the few weeks following the birth. A place where our baby was safe but not disconnected. Many thanks for allowing us so much time to return it without ever raising concern. For young parents, time becomes the most precious commodity and not feeling pressured by yet another human being made all the difference. (Jan .14)
We loved the bednest. It made feeding at night so easy as well as settling her down for a sleep. It also worked really well for us as our son was 16 months when Lois was born and it meant that we could all be in bed for a cuddle at the weekends and there was no chance of Lois getting squashed by her brother. All my friends and family were very impressed with the bednest and I have been recommending it to everyone. We also loved the design of the Bednest, it fitted into our room perfectly. (Jan .14)
We loved the Bednest. It definitely helped to support establishing breastfeeding and the many night feeds! It was reassuring to be able to have my baby close to me. (Jan .14)
The Bednest was fantastic, I recommend it to all new Mum's and those Mums who saw the bednest in my room said they would use one for their 2nd baby. (Jan .14)
Unfortunately I had an emergency c-section, and the bednest was an absolute blessing. If I'd have had a Moses basket I'm just not sure I'd have been able to cope with the night feeds. "Being able to sleep nose-to-nose with my baby - watch him as he slept and see his gummy grin of delight when he woke and saw me in the mornings - was one of my most precious moments of early motherhood.
"Being able to slide my baby from my bed into his own, without any lifting or lowering, made bedtimes cry-free.
"The bednest is simple to erect and dismantle, and the flexibility on rental periods offered by the NCT meant I didn't have to feel stressed about someone else's deadline when preparing my baby to move into his own cot.
"Both my baby and I loved it so much that I wish there was a bednest for bigger babies!" (Jan.14)
We loved using the bednest crib. It meant I had my baby close but knowing he was safe in his own space I slept better too. (Dec.13)
With my first child he would often wake up when I reached down to take him out of the moses basket but sliding Dylan across into the bed nest was much easier. (Dec.13)
Rental is a great idea & really good value. We took the bednest with us on holiday & on family visits which meant everyone slept better. (Nov.13)
Bednest is a godsend. Our little Felix seems to have taken to it like a duck to water. Mum is also very reassured and getting much better sleep. Thank you! Will be sure to recommend to others! – Dad (Nov.13)
I thought that the bed nest was really great. It arrived very quickly, was easy to assemble and looked good in our room. It was very nice to be so near my baby and at the same time not having the worry of rolling over her or her falling off the bed. At night when i needed to feed her i sometimes simply rolled her over to me while we were both half asleep. collection of the bed nest was also very easy so overall i was very pleased about choosing it (Nov.13)
By far the best thing that I ever purchased (or rented). It helped immensely in the early days of babyhood, I couldn't recommend it more. I only wish I'd got one for our first baby, it would have made life 100% easier. (Nov.13)
I really found it fantastic. WIth my first baby i had wanted one but didnt buy one and she ended up sleeping in my bed with me which always worried me and so meant i didnt sleep that well. For my second i didnt want to do the same and yet i didnt want to get up several times a night when it was cold and dark and it would mean i would wake up fully and so feel very tired the next day. With the bednest i could stay under my warm duvet, hardly wake up properly but then put Tom back into his safe crib without getting up.
Ive told lots of mothers about how wonderful it is. I think doctors surgeries/hospitals/baby clinics is the best place to advertise (ie before the birth pregnant women would see it).
I will be in contact again when i am expecting my third child! (nov.13)?
The bednest was the best thing I used for my daughter Ariya. It worked wonderfully as a travel cot too. I used it for the entire six months and ariya slept well in it. I was really sad to see it go as it was the one thing I could rely on when using it as a travel cot. I loved how I could sooth my daughter just by placing my reassuring hand on her knowing that this was safer than putting her in the bed with me.
If I have another child I will definitely be hiring the bednest again. (nov.13)
I'm happy to comment on the Bednest scheme. We bought a Moses basket, because that's what I understood everyone used. My baby hated the Moses basket - she cried and cried every time we put her in it. I found a review of the Bednest online, and I was so happy to find the rental scheme. We only plan to have one baby, so buying it would be a huge investment. My daughter slept very happily in the bed nest until she grew too big for it. It was a lifesaver for us! Much, much better than a Moses basket! I also liked the ease of lifting her into bed to breastfeed, and that I could see her through the mesh, just like she could see me! (nov.13)
To all at Bednest - thank you so much for your help and extremely prompt service. We used your hire service and a pristine Bednest arrived just 2 days after we placed our order. It was extremely easy to construct and a very attractive piece of furniture. Our bed base is quite an unusual design but the Bednest could be easily secured and adjusted to the perfect height. The returns process was also very straightforward and we appreciated the courtesy message confirming you had received it safely. An excellent experience and service start to finish - congratulations and thank you. (Nov.13)
We have absolutely loved the bednest and I am really missing it! It is a great idea to rent them because we would never have considered buying. For our first baby we used a moses basket and then travel cot next to our bed for the first six months but the moses basket meant I had to sit up to see her if I was concerned about noise/lack of noise and the travel cot was a back breaker. It has been so lovely and easy to use a bednest, to be able to sleep next to your baby without fear of rolling on her or covering her in our duvet was great. It doesn't feel like you have woken up in the night when all you have to do is pop a dummy in or put a hand on her without even moving yourself and to be able to have eye to eye contact too I'm sure has all helped us have a gentle start. I'm not sure if you would recommend this but another benefit was that when she had a cold I was able to easily change the angle of the bed and elevate her head which helped her sleep better.? ?We have now moved her into a bedroom with her sister and getting up at night is a shock I can tell you! We had three nights of ending up with her in bed with us but last night she stayed in her bed all night and I got up just once to pop her dummy in so I think that's a result and hopefully long may it last. I would recommend (and do) bednest to everyone it was worth every penny. Thank you very much for creating such a fantastic product and giving me so many great memories. (Nov.13)
We found out about the bednest when our daughter was 8 weeks old. She refused to sleep in her Moses basket and night feeding became a real challenge. When the bednest arrived she slept soundly as she could see and smell me, and this in turn let me sleep. One of my fondest memories was a night she was holding onto my finger, staring at me intently whilst smiling before happily drifting off to sleep.
Being able to rent was fantastic as it was one less thing to buy and one less thing to store afterwards! We will definitely be using the bednest for our next baby!
Thank you for your prompt and efficient service. (Nov.13)
?I found the bednest to be excellent and wish I had had it with my first. I only found out about it by accident though and doing research into co-sleeping. I have told people about the bednest and lots of people had not heard of it. Maybe worth trying social media to raise awareness of the product. The service from start to finish was excellent and I would recommend this to other mothers. (nov.13)
We were delighted with the bed nest, it was a perfect place for our little one to sleep when he first came home, close to us. Although it transpired that I could not breastfeed we still liked the bed nest- particulalry the transparent sides which kept him safe while also allowing us to see him through the mesh, and so know what he was doing.
I liked being able to rent it, rather than having to buy something that has such a short time span of usefulness. I think it was better than a rattan moses basket, as it didn't rattle or rustle when he moved about. (Nov.13)
The bednest really helped me during the days following a difficult birth, meaning that I didn't have to get out of bed at night as much. I feel it has also contributed to my son's emotional welfare as he was always within arm's reach when he needed me. (Nov.13)
The bednest was wonderful and it made breastfeeding following a Caesarean section more convenient. It was also reassuring to be able to check on baby at nights. Totally recommend it to all mothers (Nov.13)
I have very much enjoyed using the Bednest and my baby has been extremely comfortable sleeping in it. She is now 5mths old and it is the perfect time for her to go into a larger cot. The value for money on the rental option is fantastic and renting this Bednest has been one of the best decisions we have made. I'm so glad we did this rather than buy a Moses basket as out of 8 babies, ours is the only one who can still fit in her crib. It means so much that we can continue to have our baby close by rather than forced to put her in a larger cot purely because of size constraints.??I will be recommending the rental option to family and friends and will not hesitate to hire again if we are blessed with another baby. (Nov.13)
Yes the biggest benefit of using the bednest was the the fact that I didn't have to get / bend over to pickup or breastfeed my baby. I have lower back pain from two pregnancys and this bednest made the early months so much easier and less painful than the first time round where we used a stand alone rocking crib.??The whole hiring and returning process is very easy to and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to breastfeed / bedshare with their newborn (nov.13)
We absolutely loved having the bednest. There is no better feeling than falling asleep holding your baby's hand :) Our daughter started sleeping through the night at 8 weeks and I'm sure that was partly due to the security that she felt from sleeping right next to us.
It would have been difficult for us to afford to buy a bednest, so the rental scheme is brilliant. The only down-side was that I was in tears when packing it away! (Nov.13)
We were very pleased and happy with the bednest. Unexpectedly I needed to have a c-section surgery and having the bednest was the best help for me in recovering. No need to move so much to pick my baby up, the correct high for me and also easy to transport when we needed to move from our flat from Brentwood to London.
We have recommended several close friends to access to this service (nov.13)
We were really pleased that we were able to rent a bed nest, it made such a difference as our son wanted to be close to us and was very unsettled in a Moses basket. It meant that he could sleep beside us safely and provided peace of mind for us as well. (Nov.13)
We found the bednest really useful for our son from about 2-5 months old. It was great having him right there once he had grown out of his Moses basket but still needed multiple feeds during the night. By 5 months he was too big for it which was a shame.
We also used it as a travel cot which worked well. The adjustable height it excellent.
The ease of dropping it at a UPS collection point was great.
Overall we were very pleased we hired it. (Nov.13)
we loved the bednest & felt it was one of the best investments we made for our little girl & actually at a really reasonable price. We have recommended it to everyone!! We would also do it again if we are blessed with any more children. (Nov.13)
It's still very much loved and needed. It's the best piece of baby kit we have. I wish we'd had it for number one, particularly as I was (and still am) up and down all night with him. Our second has slept through from about two weeks old, don't know if the bednest has something to do with that! (October.13)
Our daughter transferred from co sleeping in our bed to the Bednest at 2 weeks with no problems at all. It was great to be able to take it easily with us on holiday to France and here in the UK. We highly recommend Bednest to all our friends and will hire another if we are blessed with another baby. I was sad to return it as it is scary how quickly she has grown from being so tiny and squeaky to such a happy chatty little 6 month old. (oct.13)
It was a lovely experience having my baby sleep with us in the past six months.
What a beautiful design the crib is! I m very happy with the service! (Oct.13)
it's easy to recommend because it has such great functional and beautiful design - Dad Oct.13
Our Nell LOVED the bednest, excellent product.
Also brilliant service from you and your team, many thanks. – Dad Oct.13
I think the rental scheme is fantastic - a new mattress each time but also knowing the wooden sections will be used again. It's important to me that we don't use too many resources on baby kit that will only be used for a few months.
We wanted a bednest from the start, i found it online, and I was delighted to also find the nct scheme (I found it online also think). I told lots of people about it that had no idea - hopefully word is spreading and it Is gaining momentum? Have you tried telling midwives and health visitors and maybe promoting through the nct groups? I'm trying to think how else to get the word out there... Not easy, I know.
Arthur was born five weeks early and I had to have a c-section - so it was amazing to bring him home still 3 weeks early and have him so close to me by the bed. I didn't struggle with my c-section and didn't need the bednest access to slide him across - but i might have and it was good to know i had the option. He used his bednest until 5 months old when we moved him in to his cot. We used it at home and also took it with us on nights away as a travel cot. Arthur loved it, felt very safe and secure and comfy in it, and everyone that saw it thought it was great. I really liked being able to have him so close to me but still safe and secure in his own bed. As he got bigger and more mobile we put both sides up and detached it from the bed, but he was still in our room.
Arthur also suffered from reflux so being able to tilt the bed as part of its design (rather than other friends that had to buy foam wedges or put books under the feet!) was brilliant.
We never had trouble putting Arthur down for naps or sleeps and I do think this was because the bednest was so continuous - we were able to use it in lots of different ways but he still felt safe and happy in it - even when we put the sides up and moved it away from our bed, for example.
I am planning to use the hire scheme again for our next child, if and when that happens.
We loved the bednest and think it is a really easy to use and well-designed product. I don't understand why new parents are directed to Moses baskets and not to bednests. Thank you we will have very happy memories of our baby safe beside us in his bednest for a long time to come. – Dad Oct.13
We loved using it and as I had to have a c section delivery this bed was invaluable while I was recovering. Great delivery & pick up service too. Thank you. Oct.13
Your service was absolutely exceptional and contributed to months of sleep for both Rebecca and us. I cannot offer any ideas for improvement and recommend you to everyone I know who has a baby and should we be blessed with another we will certainly be coming back to you.
If only she hadn't grown out of it as I would have loved to keep her so close for longer xxx (Oct.13)
The bed nest was excellent, I'm really glad I decided to have one, I had a c section and it was painful to get in and out of bed, the bednest really helped with feeding my baby.
Plus it was really nice to have our baby so close and every time I opened my eyes I could see him. (oct.13)
The crib was fantastic for Xavi, and I loved having him so close to me during his first months. If we have any more children I will certainly rent a bed nest from you again. (Oct.13)
We had an all around good experience with the Bednest crib. We would use the rental service again for any subsequent babies. I think the rental scheme is a great idea because these items are only needed for <6 months. The Bednest itself was fantastic and I can't imagine sleeping any other way in these early months. (Oct.13)
Thanks for the email, the bednest was fantastic and the rental service was totally hassle free. If I'm lucky enough to have a third baby I will do it again. (Sep.13)
I loved the bednest, and will definitely want to hire another if a second baby comes along. Hire was perfect for us, as we live in a very small flat, and would not have had the storage to keep an unused Bednest. It also made it much more affordable, given that we didn't know exactly how things would work out with a baby. (sep.13)
The bed nest was amazing and if I get lucky enough to have another baby we'll definitely hire it again. It was great to be so close to cherry when she was tiny without possible risk of squashing her. Breast feeds in the night were a doddle (if that's possible) - just had to reach out and grab her no need to get out of bed. (sep.13)
The Bednest was great. Samantha seemed happy in it and we liked the look of it and the folding-down side was really useful. (sep.13)
The bednest was simply brilliant! I wish I had known about it from birth whereas we hired it at 6 weeks.I have passed on the info to friends and even John Lewis in Edinburgh who have been telling their customers about the scheme as well.I will most certainly be hiring one again for baby number two... (sep.13)
Thank you, the service was excellent and the bed nest a life saver after having a csection so thank you, I shall be recommending! (oct.13)
The design of the Bednest is fantastic, superb idea, really helped us in the first few months and as first time clueless parents it was one less thing to worry about! So thanks again, we have recommend it to all our friends! –Dad (sep.13)
We loved the scheme very much and it made our lives with the newborn much easier, I only wish I had done it first time round. (oct.13)
It was amazing and worked perfectly. Have been recommending to all my friends. (oct.13)
Just to let you know I don't thing there is any way you could improve your bednest service!
It was delivered next day for us (after 2 weeks of our son only sleeping on us that was appreciated!) It was simple to use and quick to set up. The lady I spoke to on the phone was friendly and understanding. Basically 5 star service! The only thing I can think of to let more parents know about the nest would be to advertise in the back of magazines such as 'Mother and Baby' which first time mums to be read with avid interest. Costly though. Or perhaps a leaflet in the bounty packs? I personally thought I couldn't afford to buy a side car crib type thing so when I discovered your rental service in a NCT brochure I was over the moon. (oct.13)
I really enjoyed using the bednest - and was sorry to see it go. Thank you for the excellent customer service and excellent product! (Oct.13)
The Bednest rental scheme is great idea and was wonderful for us, meaning we didn't have to buy the Bednest but could still benefit form having it for the first 6 months. I will recommend this to all my parent friends. (Oct.13)
We loved using the bednest, especially having our baby so close to me, which I really missed when we moved her into her cotbed, even though she's still only a metre away! We had to wash the side panels quite a lot as we had a lot of sick in the bed incidents – Velcro (oct.13)
i'm a massive advocate of the bednest! i always recommend to people & would hire again. honestly though i think it needs publicising more as i stumbled across it, possibly saw an advert but i can't remember now. i attended nct antenatal classes & was surprised it wasn't promoted there.
i was very grateful of the extra leaway with the hire which is fab idea as my little one wasn't quite sleeping in his cot all night when the rental was due back.
i also think the price is very reasonable for what you get & compared to a moses basket which you don't need with a bed nest & lasts much longer. (oct.13)
Tamzin Outhwaite – actor and mum to two children
"I love the Bednest very much. Marnie sleeps so well in it. I love being able to have it so close to me without it being dangerous, as well as being able to see her even when the side is up!”
Katie, a Bednest mum (and midwife) recently wrote to us: "I don't know where to start with describing what the Bednest has done for us as a family.
Hi, I have built my nct bednest and it's perfect, I'm so happy with my purchase.
I can't thank you enough for your extra special customer service on ensuring I had bought the correct product, I was so scared to buy this without actually seeing it incase it was the wrong choice when it's so very expensive, but with your reassurance of return being ok as well as the 10% promo offer you had on, I'm absolutely over the moon.
Here's hoping it cuts down on my many sleepless nights that I had with my 1st daughter and when my new baby arrives I hope to get more sleep.
Thank you, thank you very much I most certainly will recommend your company to all my family & friends and forthcoming mums at my many children groups that we attend .
Ps I will need to order some fitted sheets for the bednest, I shall do that very soon.
Karen Richardson, a 33-year-old marketing manager from Ealing, London, is mum to 16-month-old Eva
“I was really ill after my baby was born and was in hospital for two weeks so it was really lovely to be able to sleep really close to Eva when I came out and to soothe her and hold her without having to experience the pain of getting out of bed. Most parents worry about their baby and being able to watch them and hear them breathing and to be able to do that all night without moving is really reassuring. It was amazing to lie next to the baby and watch her facial expressions as she slept and really funny when she flung her arms and legs over my side of the bed. It was wonderful that the first thing either of us saw in the morning was each other, I really missed it when Eva got too big and moved into her cot as the Bednest was so lovely and really helped me build a bond with her."
Kate, a 33-year-old Senior Marketing Executive from Cheltenham, gave birth to Alfie two years ago
“Co-sleeping with my child was an incredible experience and something that I had really wanted to try despite the obvious concerns about rolling onto my child or my husband having interrupted sleep. The Bednest solved both of these worries for our family. It really helped establish and maintain breastfeeding which was important to me, and I found that having my son near me, he felt secure and therefore didn’t always need feeding in the night as much as if he’d been in a normal moses basket. Having him as part of our bed meant that reaching for him to feed was less disturbing than having to pick him up out of a traditional moses basket. My first child grew out of her Moses basket much quicker than I had hoped meaning I put her in a cot before I felt ready but with the Bednest we were able to use it up until Alfie was eight months old , and as a big boy it shows you how much space you actually have. The Bednest was so quick and easy to set up and very stylish looking, so it was perfect to take away with us.”
Jennifer Gerber, a 33-year-old Director of a Political Advocacy Group from Camden, London, is mum to 7-month-old Rafi
“I liked the idea of co-sleeping but didn’t want the baby in the bed so my friend recommended the Bednest. I love the fact that my baby is close to me but is still safe in their personal space. It’s so lovely falling asleep next to him and the closeness means I can just reach over and touch him. It’s made me less anxious and able to sleep better myself. And I breastfed for the first few months so you could simply roll the baby into your bed onto the breast without having to get up. Even when I bottle fed it was easy to feed him without disturbing him as he could just be moved across to me.”
Samantha Benbow is a 34-year-old IT business consultant from Birmingham who is mum to Alice, 20-months-old
“My daughter Alice was lactose intolerant, as was my first, and I wanted and needed to be as close to my baby as possible, knowing she was in pain but also wanting to get a decent night’s sleep myself. I desperately wanted to co-sleep with Alice and share the same experience of bonding that I had with my first daughter but I also wanted her to sleep well. The Bednest allowed both of us to sleep brilliantly. I’m sure we all – including my husband and even my neighbours – appreciated the fact that her crying didn’t wake anyone else up because I was able to get to her, feed her and relax her really quickly as she was right next to me.”
Joanna Winser, a 35-year-old primary school teacher from Sevenoaks, who has a six-week-old baby called Tod and a 22-month-old daughter called Etty
“I researched lots of different sleeping items, but quickly decided to buy the Bednest because I loved the idea of a crib that allowed your baby to be close to you, without the dangers of having him sleeping in your bed. It definitely helped with bonding as I could see, feel and hear my baby, and I wanted to be as close as possible to them at all times, day and night. Sleep wasn’t my biggest concern before I had a baby, but I soon realised the importance of us both sleeping well and the Bednest allowed me to easily move my baby to feed, and then slip them back in without waking. I did try a Moses basket, but neither of my children would sleep in it. I think they found them too flimsy and they both seem to like the sturdiness of the Bednest.”
Sophie Lazar, a 34-year-old editor from London, who is mum to two-year-old Hope and pregnant with her second child
“We’d had a Moses basket in our family for years, so I had always intended to use it. But when I saw a photo of the Bednest, I was just totally charmed. I liked the idea of the baby being on the same level as me; of just being able to reach across and touch her in the night for reassurance. A Bednest seemed like the nearest I could get to having my baby sleeping in the same bed while still being reassuringly safe. And then when we started using it, other benefits became obvious. It was just so easy to scoot her across before and after a feed – the interrupted nights were, I think, so much easier to cope with because I didn’t have to get out of bed to soothe her. I really noticed the difference when I had to use a Moses basket while staying with my in-laws – much more strain on my back to lift her up and out. I’ll admit I was sad when Hope grew out of the Bednest and we had to put it away, but I’m expecting our second any day now and am excited to be able to use it again.”
Sarah Larssen, 31, a project development manager from Sheffield, is mum to 16-week-old Amelie Slowther
“The Bednest has been brilliant for my sleep as well as hers. I can just lift her out for the night feeds and feed her in bed so neither of us has to wake up properly. I can also hold her hand or rub her belly to settle her all from the comfort of my bed and her while dozing off. Also, as she’s right next to my head I can pick her up and feed her before she starts crying as I can respond immediately when she begins to stir. It’s also so nice to hear her breathing and to wake up right next to her smiling face every morning. Before I gave birth I was really worried about being affected by a lack of sleep, but it hasn’t been nearly as bad as I thought. The Bednest has definitely shortened the amount of time we’re up in the night. We have had her in our bed, but she takes up a lot of room for a little baby and we don’t get nearly as comfortable a night’s sleep.”
Clare Spencer, 37, a full-time mum of Noah, four, and Barney, two, from Surrey
“I wanted a bedside cot but a standard cot wouldn’t fit and the Bednest was by far the best looking and most practical option. Right from the first night it was great. I felt he was safe and I could just reach out and touch him. It was so lovely to be close at night because as he was my second child I couldn’t give him my complete attention in the day like I did with my first, so the nighttime was like our time to cuddle. I also think it assisted breastfeeding because I was conscious of trying to do more night feeding. I felt I hadn’t done it enough with my first child, which possibly contributed to my not having enough breast milk. Whether this is true or not I’m not sure but it certainly made it a lot easier. Compared to when I used a Moses basket with my first, which nearly broke my back when picking him up and putting him down, the experience was so much nicer. Thinking back, it was just so impractical and odd having him at the foot of our bed. I wanted him next to me but was worried about rolling into him in the night. We had to go to hospital for a few days when he was four weeks old and when we returned home I think I appreciated it even more.”
Lou Everatt-Fletcher, a 39-year-old probation team manager from Oxford, is mum to eight-month-old Juno
“Juno is my first child and I knew from the start that I wanted to co-sleep, but I was worried about the risks. Sadly, we had a tragic cot death in our family and it is something we have always worried about. But the Bednest allowed me to sleep easy as I could see at any point in the night that she was safe and happy. I do not do well without sleep, but it allowed us to sleep in the same room without going mad. I could feed and resettle Juno without having to get up, which in the early days after quite a difficult birth was a huge help. My husband even managed to sleep through feeds as I would wake when she began to stir and could comfort her before she started screaming. I am also a huge fan of well-designed, stylish yet practical objects. The Bednest delivers on all fronts. It looked great in our bedroom and performed brilliantly. There is no comparison.”
Midwife Mel Rich, 32, lives in Bristol and is mum to nine-month-old Thomas
“My baby was a very frequent breastfeeder and would feed every two hours at night. He struggled to settle in his Moses basket for some reason and for the first month I co-slept with him. I was worried about the potential risks of co-sleeping and was keen to find a solution as soon as possible. However, I was so tired that I couldn’t see any other realistic way of getting through the night with any sleep. When we got the Bednest I was at the end of my tether and it provided a great compromise for us both – in fact after a few nights of convincing, I’m not even sure Thomas noticed the difference. I could get to him and feed him straightaway and it really helped me teach him when it was bed time without having to give up all the benefits of co-sleeping. My son is now nine months old and happily moved to a cotbed and then his own room without any crying at all. I genuinely believe that the security he got from knowing I was right there in the early days has helped with this transition. The tilt mechanism would have been really useful in the event of reflux. Had we had the Bednest at the very beginning, I would definitely have used this, as I feel that being tilted would have helped him to settle more easily in the earliest days.”
* Some experts believe parents should be advised against co-sleeping because a larger proportion of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS or cot death) occur in the parents’ bed. Others point out that the risks associated with co-sleeping are very much reduced if neither parent smoke and are probably negligible if they avoid drinking alcohol, taking drugs or falling asleep with the baby on a sofa.”
Ericka Waller, 30, is a stay at home mum from Brighton and mum to 10-month-old Bliss
“A friend had a cot which had an adjustable side which she swore by, so I took to Google, found an image of the Bednest and fell in love. It’s easy to use, is stylish and comfortable and makes life so much easier. I was very sore after I gave birth and the Bednest meant I did not need to keep getting up and down to feed. I also had to go back to work after six months so I needed to make sure I had enough rest. Having the baby so close meant that my husband did not get woken up in the night – two sleep-deprived parents is never a good thing. My baby was close to me at all times, but as she was not actually in my bed I could roll around freely without worrying I was going to squash her. I could check on her with ease, which as an anxious parent was a great comfort. And when she was unsettled I could rest my hand on her to soothe her without having to lean awkwardly over a cot or Moses basket. I could breastfeed while she was in the Bednest and if I did pick her up for a cuddle, it was also easy to slip her back in without waking her. Bednest was the first sleep space I’ve tried and I never needed to look anywhere else.”
Raman Glazier, a 33-year-old HR Recruiter, from Acton Vale in Ealing, London, has a five-month-old boy called Willem
“The Bednest is revolutionary. We tried for four weeks to get Willem to sleep in the Moses basket and every time it creaked he would cry, but he was a different baby when we introduced the Bednest. And I truly believe that it has really helped him become a good sleeper and as a consequence we are very happy parents. Sleep is priceless, so the Bednest was an investment for all of our family. It doubles as a travel cot, which really helps when you’re trying to establish a routine but still want to go away. We’ve taken it on holiday and bedtimes have been a smooth transition because of that.”
Maxine Fletcher, 39, from Luddenden, near Halifax, is mum to Matilda, 16-months-old
“I was interested in co-sleeping and the Bednest seemed like the perfect compromise for what we were after. We wanted Matilda to be close to us, to make breastfeeding at night easy and to provide lots of nurture and close contact right from the start. We wanted her to have a very nurtured start to life and we did everything we could to build a secure, strong bond with her. I think the Bednest played a big part in helping us to achieve that. Our main concerns were not about safety and sleep, although important, but to provide that emotional care and closeness from the start. The fact that there was only a short move to pick Matilda up and feed her, often allowing me to go back to sleep again quickly afterwards was such a relief. Now she sleeps in her own cot and she appears secure and content at bedtimes. These early positive experiences must have really helped establish a good pattern for the future.”
Sarah Atkins, a 29-year-old HR Manager from Norwich, has one daughter called Eve, aged 10-months-old“Before I had Eve, I was worried about getting up and out of bed in the cold winter months and I was concerned that we just wouldn’t get enough sleep. But I loved the idea of an alternative to co-sleeping and the Bednest really brings the baby to the heart of the family. It was reassuring to know we could be as close as possible to Eve, without the danger of having her in the same bed. It was especially helpful after a C-section as I couldn’t get out of bed for a week and the Bednest helped me to avoid back pain. It also made it easy not to disturb Eve as it was just a swift movement to get her in and out of bed. I really wouldn’t want to try any other baby crib.”
Louise Moore, a 33-year-old Head of Product Development from Rickmansworth, Herts, is mum to 10-month-old Lola
“The physical closeness that the Bednest promotes really helped me to bond with Lola; having her in the same room made for a really positive experience. You feel all the security of having her close without any of the risks that co-sleeping poses. And it made the night feeds much more bearable. I could literally just sit up and lift my baby out without needing to get out of bed – a blessing in the first few months of motherhood.”
Linh Bilar, a 32-year-old website applications support analyst, from Petts Wood, London, has a baby girl called Summer, aged four-weeks-old
“We bought the Bednest because we wanted to co-sleep with our baby, but did not want to have her in our bed. Our baby feeds every two hours so it was just brilliant to be able to reach over to her and pick her up as she was so close – ideal for night feeds. I am happy that I can see Summer from my bed and reach out and comfort her and the fact that she can also see us I really believe helps her to settle herself to sleep. As a consequence she doesn’t cry very much at all.”
Sarah Molland, 33, a PHD student from Dartmoor, near Okehampton, has an 18-month-old daughter called Freya
“When Freya was just one month old she was refusing to sleep unless we were holding her hand or she was lying in my arms and we were totally exhausted. And things were doubly difficult because I had had a caesarean. So when I heard about the Bednest it seemed like a great idea that would solve what was becoming an impossible situation and it did. It changed things from being very tiring and stressful to a time that became much easier. Freya’s sleep patterns have since become the envy of many of our friends – it was a lifesaver. The very best thing was that it was like magic. Freya slept from night one, all through the night; we have never looked back. Prior to the Bednest we used a normal wooden crib. It’s incomparable really because we went from very little sleep to really good sleep. Husband, myself and baby were all happier.”
Tracy Fash, a 42-year-old housewife, from Lambeth, London, is mum to Viggo, two, and Ines, one
“I wanted a cot that came right up to the side of the bed and the Bednest was the only product I found that provided everything I needed and it looked good too. It was so lovely to wake up in the morning and be on the same level as the baby without worrying about the problems associated with co-sleeping such as squashing the baby or the duvet going over its head. My first suffered from very bad reflux and we were advised by our doctor to have the angle very steep, so the Bednest was great for this.”
Heather Lizamore, who is 36 years old and lives near Ipswich. She is mum to two-year-old Harper and five year old Caitlin.
“I know how precious sleep is! Although I didn’t want to co-sleep, I wanted to have our baby in the room with me, as close as possible. The Bednest was stylish and functional and it made maintaining contact with Harper, particularly for night feeds, much easier. It also folded up so easily it became a very handy portacot.”
Sara Sutton, is a 42-year-old full-time mum from Willerby in East Yorkshire, and is mum to Bebe, two
“Bebe is my second baby and having been through many sleepless nights I was more than concerned about not getting enough sleep. But the Bednest was amazing, just to be able to fall asleep looking into each other’s eyes and holding her tiny hand. I felt close to Bebe and not having to get in and out of bed to see or feed her made things so much easier.”
Leanne, 31, a pediatric nurse from London, is mum to Oliver, one (in September)
“After coming back from hospital, I was keen to have Oliver as close to us as possible to reduce my anxiety around sudden infant death and to help us to bond better. Friends recommended the Bednest and it really was the perfect purchase. I felt secure that I could comfort him when he stirred and feed him easily, which promoted good sleeping for both my husband and I. Another wonderful feature was the ease in which we could transport it. We have family living 300 miles away and Oliver always settled well while travelling because he was so familiar with the Bednest. I appreciate the Bednest is more expensive than a standard Moses basket but given that we used it until Oliver was almost six-months-old and transported it around the country we consider it one of the best purchases we made.”
Kathy Riley, a 35-year-old researcher from West Yorkshire who has a two-year-old and a two-month-old
“The Bednest allows you to feel safe knowing the baby can’t fall out of bed and I sleep much better having my baby in her own space. It’s much easier when you are breastfeeding to get your baby back into the cot and because I had a caesarian and had very limited movement, it really helped me out. My toddler is a good sleeper and I’m sure the Bednest helped out with that as he was used to sleeping in his own space. I have already recommended it to our friends.”
Susan Moore, a 38-year-old university lecturer, from London, is mum to Cameron, aged 20 months
“I liked the fact the Bednest promoted co-sleeping without any of the negative aspects and the fact that it enable me and my baby to sleep much more comfortably. He was always within arm’s reach and I often fell asleep listening to his breathing, so it provided lots of ease of mind. It also made it so easy to transition from sleeping in my arms to being placed in bed. Moses baskets seemed too flimsy, but the Bednest looked good, it was a good size and was easy to assemble and travel with.”
Sophie Clary, 33, a full-time mum from Kent, is mum to Addison, two, and four-month-old Phoenix
“I was concerned about cot death and I wanted our baby in our bedroom, but not in our bed as I knew this wasn’t safe. We were looking for a cot for our newborn and Bednest was the best product in the market – it was the perfect solution. Because the baby could see us and I could reach out and maintain physical contact knowing she was safely in her own space, it made life so much easier. And I could feed her easily without having to get in and out of bed. The baby can sleep longer in it than in a Moses basket and it’s a more natural progression to going into a cot than from a Moses basket.”
Michelle Warren, a 34-year-old banker, from Colchester, is mum to 18-month-old Matilda
“Matilda just would not settle in a traditional Moses basket so we resorted to co-sleeping which left me a bit uneasy. I’d read about the Bednest and found it allowed the best bits of co-sleeping, the closeness and comfort, but at the same time gave the baby its own defined space. Its flexibility was also a great feature and it can be easily transported but also looked like a piece of modern furniture, which was certainly a consideration for me when purchasing. I loved being able to lay and look at my daughter and being on hand to comfort her as soon as she stirred. I think my daughter was comforted being able to see me and it made night feeding much more efficient and less disruptive.”
Alexandra is a 37-year-old teacher from Aylesbury who is mum to one-year-old Sam (in September)
“I knew that sleeping was going to be tough but I really just fell into co-sleeping as it seemed such a natural thing to do. It was lovely to have him so nearby and I think it helped him to transition from being with me all the time to now being on his own. It’s great for those early days when you’re not having to get up and down all the time, so you and everyone else is much less disturbed from your own sleep.”
Sam Kemp, is a 45-year-old teacher and visual impairment specialist for children from Petersfield, Hants, and is dad to two-year-old Beau Cash
“I think that it makes an incredible difference to the bond you develop with your little one if you are able to just slide them over to you without getting up as any resentment you may feel or exhaustion you may experience through disturbed sleepless nights is completely removed. It makes it much more magical as your baby is settled and happy and secure and you are still in a comfortable warm bed. It also stops you worrying about having your baby sleep in the same bed. You get to experience the closeness of sleeping next to them and listening to them all night safe in the knowledge you are with them without the worry of possibly rolling on to them. I literally could stare nose to nose at my little boy while he slept and go back to sleep without fear.”
Kerry Campbell, is a 40-year-old pharmaceutical marketing and sales exec from Harpenden, whose daughter Kate is almost two-years-old (September) and is pregnant with her second
“The first few weeks with our newborn were difficult as she would cry if she was not in direct contact with me or her dad and she wouldn’t settle in her Moses basket next to our bed. I ended up co-sleeping with her in our bed, just to get some rest, with my husband having to sleep in the spare room as he was afraid he would roll onto her. The Bednest allowed me to place her in her own safe space next to me in bed, but be able to reach into the cot to cuddle and comfort her when needed, allowing all three of us to sleep soundly. She was most comfortable when she was in the Bednest and it was very comfortable for me to be able to have her sleeping safely right next to me, within sight and easy reach. She was a lot calmer too.”
Stephanie Chambers, 33, a company owner from Gloucester has five children, but it was only with her youngest Lucy, two, that she found out about the Bednest
“I have had my children by caesarian section and I always like to leave hospital usually within 24 hours. The Bednest made it so much easier to do this. Feeding was easier, moving was easier, sleeping was easier and there was no risk of my other children tipping it over when looking at the new baby, which is something I have worried about in the past. The Bednest is a brilliant product and it was very easy to just reach out and hold my baby’s hand if she was unsettled at night which was often all she needed to go back to sleep. With my other children, when I didn’t have the Bednest, I would have to constantly get out of bed to check on them when they were ill, but with Lucy all I had to do was just open my eyes and reach out.”
Sallie Stanton, a 34-year-old teacher, from Bedford, who is mum to Amelie, aged 22 months
“I did some research looking into bedside cribs and I though the Bednest offered us a great solution, especially as there wasn’t a massive amount of space. The best thing about it is that you have the security of having your baby by your side and you both have the comfort of being so close. Night waking was also not as awful as I expected it to be. In fact I really think it assisted in teaching her the difference between day and night as she never really woke up properly because as soon as she stirred I was there to either feed her or help get her back to sleep. Once she slept in her own room all night I did miss her.”
Melissa Taylor, a 36-year-old hairdresser from Burton-on-Trent, is mum to 22-month-old Zak
“I’ve tried lots of other cribs and cots, but nothing worked as well as the Bednest. I honestly believed Zak would be the perfect child who would sleep easily in his own room, but he didn’t sleep through the night until he was 14-months-old. He was only ever happy sleeping next to me and he just would not sleep alone. But the Bednest allowed us to fall asleep together and then quietly and easily put him to bed. He also woke every two hours for feeding, so it really aided dream feeding and meant that I was disturbing him far less at the end of each feed. Being able to co-sleep guilt-free was fantastic because the Bednest ensured it became such a natural thing to do.”
Catherine Kernot is a 34-year-old fundraiser from Oxford who is mum to one-year-old Harriet
“I heard about the Bednest through a friend who loved it. And I was so glad I listened to her because it was worth every penny. My baby was premature so the early days were really nerve-wracking and I really wanted to keep her close. She had been on oxygen for a while so I never entertained the idea of bedsharing – the Bednest was the next best thing. It allowed me to remain as close as possible and check she was breathing. But it was also her own special space, so I felt much more comfortable. In fact I was so attached to it I just would not lend it to anyone else!”
Joanne Allan, a 35-year-old engineer from Aberdeen, who is mum to Sophie, aged 29 months, and Rebecca, eight-weeks-old
“Our first daughter did not like sleeping in her Moses basket and I was in favour of co-sleeping but my husband was not, so we decided that the Bednest was the best solution, allowing the closeness of co-sleeping but also providing our daughter with her own space. It’s easy to set up, makes it so easy to breastfeed and the closeness between me and my baby is unparalleled. My daughters both sleep much better and as a consequence so do I.”
Imogen, a 38-year-old university lecturer, is mum to Oliver, who is 22-months-old
“We wanted to co-sleep but we were too anxious to do it because of the risk of smothering. Right from the very first day we felt incredibly close to Oliver because he was right there with us. On his first night, he cried and cried when I put him down in the Bednest, but then I reached over and held his hand and he stopped crying and started to relax. Clearly he wanted contact with me and I could give it because he was right there next to me. It also meant my husband could sleep next to him at night, so we were both able to share nighttime closeness. No-one felt left out and it had all the benefits of co-sleeping without any of the risks. It also allowed with the transition – we put both sides up and moved him slowly further away from us as we approached the point when he would move to his own room. I also love the minimal design, it’s beautiful and easy to assemble and pack away.”
Dahlia Cuby, a 39-year-old production manager, of Crouch End, London, is mum to 14-month-old Elijah
“Not only is it a beautiful design, but it seemed like a great idea for breastfeeding mums, for bonding and for peace of mind from the risks of smothering and cot death. It also seemed much bigger than a Moses basket so I wouldn’t have to put my baby into a cot until he was ready and not just because he outgrew a Moses basket. I had a caesarian, so the Bednest meant I didn’t have to get out of bed so often and when I was feeding I could scoop him up and put him back into bed without having to get up myself. Also it was just amazing to be able to hold my baby’s hand all night.”
Debra Wiseglass, a 34-year-old HR manager from London, is mum to Joe, who is eight-months-old
“My baby was and still is a poor sleeper, so having the Bednest right next to the bed made it easier for me to soothe and feed Joe during the night. I could lie with my hand on his body, so it was a comfort to me and him. He just would not sleep in the Moses basket, so it just does not compare. It’s also a lot sturdier.”
Susan Lloyd, a 43-year-old self-employed PR consultant from Southsea, Portsmouth, is mum to Oliver, 23-months-old, and Thomas, four-months-old
“I bought the Bednest because I had read that to help prevent cot death it was advised that you sleep in the same room as your baby. This product seemed like the obvious choice for convenience and also it looked good and was sturdy with adjustable sides. I used to travel a lot to visit friends and it folded down to a convenient and portable size. It was a huge help in allowing us to bond better because we were always in the same room and I could hear his movements and grumbles in the night.”
Jenny, 35, from Lewisham, works in theatre and is mum to five-month-old Benoit
“I had a caesarian so not having to move and pick him up quite so much made everything much easier, when it was time for feeding I didn't have to get out of bed to reach him. It helped us to bond and made transitioning into a cot much easier and I wouldn’t use any other sleep space should we have more children in the future.”
Sara Robinson, a 34-year-old teacher from Warrington, is mum to 16-month-old Ethan
“I liked the idea of co-sleeping but I wasn’t completely comfortable with it until I read about the Bednest in the NCT catalogue. It’s so convenient for breast feeding, creating that close and safe environment and being able to check and look at your baby whenever you want. It’s very easy to work as a travel cot and it’s aesthetically pleasing. I did try a cot for the first month, but it took up too much space and he got his limbs stuck between the bars, so it doesn’t compare to the Bednest.”
Matilda Moss, 34, a local government policy officer from Aylesbury, is mum to 21-month-old Iris
“I hadn’t seen anything like the Bednest before and I immediately thought it was a good idea. The idea of co-sleeping with my baby has always appealed to me because of the closeness it brings, but I was worried about the dangers it can also bring. I thought the Bednest solved all the problems associated with co-sleeping, by allowing my baby to have a separate sleeping space but still meaning I was close by and could touch and reassure her. The Bednest is the best designed option of its kind. I had a caesarian so getting in and out of bed was my main challenge and movement was a little difficult at first. But the fact I could just sit up and breastfeed my baby without having to get out of bed made things a lot easier. I also felt calmer because I could reach out just to check she was alright. For me the Bednest definitely facilitated nighttime contact and I felt that helped the bonding process.”
Victoria Herbert, a 36-year-old housewife from Brentwood, is mum to one-year-old Annie
“Having had two previous children that never slept in their own bed the Bednest seemed like a lifeline. I loved everything about it – the fact that I could adjust it to different heights and there was no gap between the bed and the cot. I had a caesarian and I was breastfeeding so getting up in the middle of the night would usually be agony for me, leaning over and picking up the baby for feeding. With the Bednest I didn’t have any of those problems. I have always co-slept with my children but I was petrified that if I did have Annie in bed with me, my other two boys, who have never slept well in their beds, would sneak in while we were sleeping and this could have potentially put Annie in danger. I’m so thankful I bought the Bednest. I strongly believe that I still had all the benefits of co-sleeping but also managed to have a child – finally – that easily moved into their own space and room.”
Karolina Porter, 31, runs a domestic cleaning company in Tetbury, Gloucestershire and is mum to Isabella, who will be two in November
“The Bednest is a much better option than the Moses basket. I really wanted Isabella to be in the same room as us for the first few months and I really wanted to breastfeed – so it seemed a perfect solution. I liked the way it was an extension of your own bed so you have the baby laying next to you on the same level without any obstructions. She was just within a hand reach so I was able to reassure her very easily. It was lovely to have her so close and to be able to see her face whenever I wanted to during the night. Whenever she coughed, sneezed or vomited I could just open my eyes and check was alright.”
<<no name>>> Julia Meecham Klein is a 37-year-old designer from Essex with two children aged two and seven-months-old
“I wanted to have the baby as close as possible and the Bednest is great for being able to look at each other while you’re holding their hand and helping them get to sleep. It meant their sleep and my sleep was less disturbed and it was easier to get out of the cot when breastfeeding during the night. Being so close to my children that I could see them breathing is such a reassurance, especially since after my caesarian it was that much harder for me to get in and out of bed. The only other option I tried was the Moses basket, but it was less easy to see through and not as useful during nighttime feeds.”
Milli Carnegie, a 37-year-old teacher from Queens Park, London, is mum to Holly, two, and Willow, six months
“We liked the concept of having our baby beside us in a comfy bed rather than in our bed or a little Moses basket, so we were sold on the Bednest the second we found about it. And we never really had to think about sleeping problems because we had the Bednest from birth. It mimicked the cot we used in the hospital, so it was the perfect transition. It really helped us to bond well and it was so nice to have her near me and only an arm reach away. I could reach over if anything was wrong and lift her out without having to get out of bed myself. We fell in love with the Bednest, so we never felt the need to use any other sleep space. I have recommended it to loads of people and people have even asked to buy it from us. But we’re going to keep it for our children’s children.”
Midwife Rachel Nye, 40, from Sheffield, is mum to nine-month-old Hannah
“I knew I definitely wanted a bedside cot so that I wasn’t having to keep getting out of bed to reach out for our baby. I looked at several online and the Bednest really stood out as being the best both practically and aesthetically. It made night feeds so much easier, I could touch her all the time without having her in our bed and I wanted to make it as easy as possible to sleep as I knew it would be difficult. The Bednest made everything just so much easier. Now that she’s in a cot it’s definitely more of a pain having to get up to lift her out for feeds.”
Kimberley Keen, 30, a primary school teacher from Hove, is mum to Mabel, 22-months-old and is expecting her second child
“I wanted a co-sleeping crib that looked great and that would last and there are so many ‘best’ features about the Bednest. I love the fact that it offers new parents the options to sleep right next to their baby without needing to worry about the dangers linked to co-sleeping, the adjustable sides and height are great features and it looks fantastic. I had stitches after giving birth and it was painful to get in and out of bed for a while, so not having to get out to feed Mabel overnight was so helpful. I was also worried about the lack of sleep that having a newborn would create, but with the Bednest I could just roll over, feed and put her back without really needing to completely wake up. What’s more, it was fantastic for our bonding experience. It was so reassuring to see and hear her right next to me and I could comfort her with a little tummy rub so easily. Mabel didn’t – and still doesn’t – really cry much and I do believe that those early weeks with instant comfort were a huge part of that.”
Laura Maddock, a 35-year-old NHS manager from Wirral, is mum to Evelyn, three, and Juliet, 10 months
“We really liked the idea of having her next to the bed to help with waking in the night and breastfeeding and the Bednest was perfect for that. It was easy to soothe the baby back to sleep when they woke in the night and it also really helped with breastfeeding as you can pick them up and put them back in without disturbing them. You are so close you can hear them coming around before they are fully awake so you can feed the baby and put them back to bed without them even having to wake up. On some occasions we have used a travel cot, which is a nightmare because you have to get out of bed and lean right in to reach the baby, whereas the Bednest is just so easy and practical. As a result I have used the Bednest as a travel cot when we go away.”
Beth Evans, a 36-year-old chartered accountant from Birmingham, is mum to 18-month-old Milly
“Before my daughter was born I had realized that her bedroom would be on the third floor of the house – the thought of having her so far away and having to heave myself up the stairs to do a night feed was not appealing. One of the joys of breastfeeding is that night feeds need not be too disruptive, but this would not be true if I had to get in and out of bed several times a night. Cribs seem to take up a lot of room, so the Bednest seemed like the perfect compromise as it was bigger than a Moses basket and suited breastfeeding perfectly. Also my first child, Lewis, had liked to sleep very close to us in the first couple of months which meant he often ended up in our bed, so I liked the idea that we could have that closeness whilst being assured that the new baby would have a safe space to lie in. I could breastfeed and comfort Milly easily and it did help in the first couple of weeks when she suffered from a little reflux by allowing me to tilt the Bednest so her head was raised. The unexpected bonus was the mobility of the unit – it packed up so easily and then could be moved as an excellent alternative to a travel cot, even when on a camping trip! I haven’t needed to try anything else.”
Natalie Rogers, 32, from Eastbourne, is mum to 14-month-old Isla
“The best thing by far about the Bednest is simply being able to be more aware of exactly what my daughter was doing. If she was stirring, sick, filled her nappy, needed feeding, then I would be able to respond immediately. And being close to my daughter when she was tiny eliminated the worry I had about not being able to see her. I felt that this closeness was very important for her. When I saw the Bednest for the first time, I felt more comfortable about both my and my baby’s sleep as it just seemed like such a good idea. I often fell asleep holding her hand and so it helped me to sleep so much better as I could be lying in bed until she fell asleep and then go off to sleep right away. I could lie next to her and put my hand on her tummy or hold her hand which I wouldn’t have been able to do quite as easily with a Moses basket or cot. Many of my fellow mum friends were very jealous that we had a Bednest and they hadn’t even seen them before, so I always recommend it.”
Teacher Kim Scott 43, from Cardiff, is mum to James, two, and six-month-old Daniel
“I wanted to be close to the baby rather than have him on the floor in a Moses basket. I didn’t know at the time if it was safe to have a baby in bed with you, but I also wanted to get as much sleep as possible in order to cope with having a newborn baby. So when I saw the Bednest on the NCT website it looked like the best solution. It’s well designed and sturdy and perfect size for a baby up to about six months. It can be used as a separate cot as well and I took it away on a few weekends as it packs away quite well. It makes night feeds easier as the baby is close to you and it is great for bonding as you are close together all night. My first baby was not a very good sleeper and quite often I would have him with me in bed just to get him to sleep, but the Bednest was nearby whenever I needed it. My second baby is a much better sleeper but it is still so nice to be close to him.”
Stay-at-home-mum Becky Collins, 34, from Epsom, is mum to Georgia, two, and Annabel, who is seven-months-old
“The Bednest was amazing. I love waking and seeing a little face smiling opposite me. It was lovely to be able to watch them sleeping so peacefully and I’m sure it helped boost my milk supply for expressing in the early days. To be frank, sleep was the only thing that bothered me about a newborn baby. My husband and I both love our sleep and wondered how we would cope with very little. But when we used the Bednest it helped being able to feed throughout the night without waking the rest of the family up. I think my proximity turned both my girls into excellent sleepers, who both slept through the night from six-weeks-old. It was an easy choice for us to buy a Bednest – my husband thought Moses baskets were too frilly and wanted something more modern-looking and I wanted something which was bedside with a dropped side. It’s portable, looks smart, packs down small and is easy to assemble; all in all really good value. I’ve used a travel cot when staying with relatives, but I only did it once. It was just such a nuisance after being used to just reaching over and bringing a baby straight into bed without having to get up. I recommend the Bednest to everyone.”
Marileze Boshoff, a 37-year-old executive assistant from London, is a mum-of-two whose youngest, Burke, was born in September
“The Bednest just made so much sense to me as I planned to breastfeed our first child and instead of getting up and out of bed at night you can just pull the baby towards you. It also has all the benefits of co-sleeping but without having to worry about rolling onto the baby. Your baby is right there beside you, where you can see and touch them without having to get up all the time. It’s also great for feeding. You basically just have to get comfortable and put your baby to the breast. I also fed when we both lay on our side so you don’t even have to wake up completely, so it helped a lot with sleep.”
Charlotte Rivers, a 35-year-old writer who splits her time between London and Brighton, is mum to 15-month-old Louis
"I wanted to share a bed with my baby but also wanted to be able to have the option of giving him and me our own space if we needed it so the Bednest seemed lieka really good idea. Whenever I worried about Louis breathing in the night it was so reassuring to just be able to see him next to me at all times. It was also good for feeding during the night as I would just bring him over closer to me and breastfeed lying down, so neither of us had to get up or be disturbed, that was one of the best things about it. Also he always close to us in those early months which was really important to us.”
Midwife Isabelle, 30, from south-east London, is mum to five-month-old Célia
“Having spent 100 per cent of its life against its mum I can’t see how any newborn baby could feel comfortable on its own for the first time. For me closeness and feeling safe is as essential a need as being fed. Thanks to the closeness the Bednest creates, my daughter never needed to scream because I notice the early signs and feed her before she gets upset. I believe that as she can feel me so close to her she feels safe and reassured so never feels lonely. I was quite convinced about co-sleeping and the Bednest appeared to be the best co-sleeper I found. It’s also easy to adjust to your own bed and no risk of falling down because there is no lifting required at all times of the day and night. It’s also so easy to transport and store for the future.”
Homemaker Marie Hughes, 37, of Bramley, North Hampshire, is mum to 21-month-old Tegan
“I knew for a long time before giving birth that the Bednest was the first item I wanted to buy. Sleep definitely concerned me before giving birth. I suffer from ME so I really needed to get as much sleep as possible. I also do not have family close by to help and my husband works long hours so I was doing the parenting mostly on my own. A good night’s sleep makes life so much easier. My daughter used to take a while to settle to sleep after feeding, but because she could see her mummy and daddy through the sides she became reassured. She is now a fantastic sleeper and I account this to the fact she felt so happy and safe sleeping in the early months. It was great to be able to just slide my daughter in and out of the Bednest and the fact that she could snuggle with me and then be slid back into bed was very helpful. She did suffer from reflux at the beginning, but she was always comfortable when we moved the Bednest into the tilt position. It also helps that it looks so stylish. I would recommend it to other mums in a heartbeat and when my friends do start having babies I will be telling them all about the Bednest.”
Emily Reid, 34, an IT support team leader from Waltham Cross, Herts, is mum to six-months-old Evangeline Reid
“I have an auto-immune disease called Still’s Disease, which is a kind of systemic arthritis causing me pain and fever. We were unsure whether it would flare up again following the birth, so we wanted to make it as easy as possible for me to get up at night. I had a small flare two weeks after the birth and the Bednest was great, because it meant I didn’t have to get out of bed or stand. Evangeline was tongue tied at birth which led to silent reflux but because the Bednest could be angle to help alleviate this it was such a relief. Just being able to hold her hand at night was brilliant at helping to settle her. And when Evangeline had a cold at 10 weeks, it really helped being able to lean in and soothe her and we could easily hear if her breathing became heavy or if she was distressed. For the first few weeks I slept next to the Bednest as I had a caesarian and it really made nightfeeding so much easier. But following this my husband slept next to the Bednest as it really helped with the father-daughter bonding, which could have been hard given he works long hours during the daytime. When our baby was first born we held her hand all night, but she learnt very quickly what night and day were as she was sleeping when mummy and daddy were sleeping. Within a week she had got into the routine. The Bednest is also a nice size, good quality and could be used as a travel cot as it is easily portable – it even came to Center Parcs with us.
