Buying the bedest
Q: How long will it take to deliver the bednest once I have ordered it?
A: Sadly we are currently sold out! However you may still place an order and we will not take payment until your order is despatched. The next batch are due for delivery from early September onwards.
Q: Do you have a guarantee?
A: All our products are covered by a 12 month guarantee.
Q: Do you supply sheets?
A: Yes – Packs of 3 white fitted sheets are available online.
Q: Can I buy the bednest outside of the UK?
A: We can ship the bednest worldwide, just place your order and choose your destination under the country tab – please click here to find out the delivery charge. If your country is not listed please email us and we will add it to the list.
Q: Can I return the bednest?
A: You can cancel your order up until 7 days from the date we deliver the goods to you. It must be returned in the original packing and be undamaged and unused. You will receive a full refund. If we collect you are liable for the charge for this.
Using the bednest and bednest safety
Q: How long can I use the bednest?
A: The bednest is designed to be used until your baby is 6months old. If your baby can sit unaided then he/she has outgrown the bednest.
Q: What is the upper weight limit for a baby to use the bednest?
A: Maximum recommended weight is 10kg
Q: There is a smell from the mattress when I unwrap it. Is it dangerous for my baby?
A: No and the smell will go if you air the mattress for 24-48 hours after unwrapping it.

Q: Can my baby roll out into my bed?
A: Babies start to roll at approximately 3months and at this stage we suggest that you keep the side nearest the bed folded at half-height.
Q: Can I use a cot bumper?
A: Cot bumpers are not advised with the bednest.
Q: Is it safe to let the baby sleep with the side down if I am not in the bed?
A: No, your baby must never be left with the side down unless an adult is present.
Q: Is it possible to use a baby respiratory monitor with a sensor pad under the mattress with the bednest?
A: Yes.
Bednest dimensions / materials
Q: Does the bednest fit all types of beds?
A: Yes we think so – but please contact us if you have a specific query.
Q: Will the bednest fit my bed? How high/low does it go?
A: The height of the bednest is easily adjustable and may be used with beds where the top of the mattress is no less than 300mm and no more than 660mm from the floor.
Q: What is the weight of the bednest?
A: The crib alone weighs approx 7.5kg. The complete bednest in its carry bag weighs approx 13.5kg.
Q: What are the external dimensions of the bednest?
A: Length 860mm, width 475mm, height to top of baby's mattress adjustable between 360mm and 660mm. The box in which your bednest is delivered is 894mm x 515mm x 270mm weighing approx 15kg.
Q: What size mattress does the bednest take?
A: Length 810mm, width 370mm, thickness 40mm. The bednest is supplied with a mattress and you can purchase additional mattresses from our online shop.
Q: Is the mattress waterproof?
A: It is wipeable and water resistant.
Q: Do you supply an organic mattress?
A: We feel that as there are so many options, it is best if you choose your own if you want this type of mattress. Two suppliers to consider are Little Green Sheep http://www.thelittlegreensheep.com/ and Natural Mat http://www.naturalmat.co.uk/ , who both have the dimensions for a Bednest and will be happy to quote a price.
Q: Where do the bednest materials come from?
A: The Bednest is made in China and wood is sourced from sustainable forests. The wood is treated with locally sourced varnishes and lacquers that are compliant to BS EN 1130:1996. The cotton side sleeves are made in China; the surround is 100% cotton, the inner mesh is nylon, the outer mesh is polyester, the webbing is polypropylene and the corner tabs are synthetic (to allow for washing).
